Seems to be the BBQ tick... aren't the oil specs the same? Now I have the noise since day 1 and I guess oil was filled in the US at factory... will have my first oil change next week, maybe it will disappear :) Do you have the tick?

And you also have the ticking noise when reving / driving slowly, like 1.5k RPMS?

Do you have a reference to the SSM?

Same for me, especially in my underground parking... reflecting from the walls and ground which is all made out of concrete...

Did you mange to get it fixed? Had a similar noise and was gone after replacing the chain tensioners

Hello, new car with about 1600 miles and having the following noise when idle or accelerating up to 2k rpms. What is this and is it normal? Bbq tick even during acceleration? Timing chain? Getting lost with all discussions here around engine noise.

Nobody had the tick since the car was new or before the first oil change?

Mine did it since day one. I live in Europe and am wondering if they go through an oil change when exported

According to Ford everything is normal… even steering issues classified as dangerous by the dealer…

So I guess the best option is to forget it. Anyway I only hear it at idle… not sure that is common

so this has even not been fixed on 2023 models? 🤯
