I have never personally experienced a 9/10 or a 10/10. Guessing those should be allocated to cars in the complete unobtanium or the Porsche GT3 RS category.
My plebeian fun ratings are:
Mustang - 8/10
Miata - 8/10
GTI - 6/10
The GTI was a jack of all trades. With springs, sways/endlinks and...
Iām at 1035 miles as of today. Everything has broken in nicely, and the noisy flywheel is no longer an issue.
I absolutely hated the stock clutch pedal resistance and installed the Steeda clutch spring with great results for me. I can modulate the clutch much easier to get to the grab point.
Hello Joe,
Just sent an email regarding the same part number to Steve @ the email address above.
Considering this thread is almost three years old, please let me know in case this is no longer a viable route to get info.
Thank you.
Took a drive to the mountains today on some very small and winding roads. The grip is absolutely mind boggling for a car this size and weight. The weighting of the steering with the performance pack/magneride setup in sport+ mode was excellent as well.
I just have to rely on what I feel...
I agree. While my GTI was a little 320hp beast that handled like it was on rails, the way I drove it was much different than the manner with which I drive the Mustang. It almost feels like an automotive right of passage of sorts.
One of the funniest adjustments is to watching my speedometer...
I drive in Sport+ mostly. Actually wish I could change settings to start in Sport+, since I can set a timer for the quiet mode. My GTI was configurable where I could select personal preferences for the combination of dynamic chassis settings.
The clutch feel is also more direct in the Miata. It has a short shifter with a heavier knob and it is fantastic. The Mustang clutch is a bit more vague in comparison. But I have already ordered the Steeda clutch spring. Seems like it makes a huge difference, based on the reviews. The shift...
LoL, I bought exactly what I wanted. None of the things I described are actual mechanical issues, or even something that makes me not love driving the Mustang. Itās all just a character of this car.
I still have my Miata for lightweight dynamics and autocross fun. The Mustang is replacing a...
As people are finally starting to get their deliveries, I wonder how everyoneās experiences with breaking the cars in are going?
Iāve had to adjust quite a bit to the manual transmission due to the dual mass flywheel. Iāve learned that you have to slip the clutch a bit more than Iām used to to...
Thatās almost the preferred outcome when the natural urge is to replace them with a set of PS4s. Back, during harder times, I had a 2006 Saabaru that I bought new with a set of Bridgestone Potenza re92s. Utter trash tires in every condition that took forever to wear.
