Nitto says that my wheels fall within their approved width range for the 305/45’s, but not these 315/35’s. So I guess that answers my original question.
Recently ordered a set Forgestar D5’s from Terry at Beefcake Racing(excellent deals and even better service.) I went with some 17x10’s on the rear and bought some Nitto NT555R2’s in 305/45/17 from an eBay store.
They sent me 315/35/17’s instead.
Before I go through the hassle of an eBay...
I appreciate all the replies. Certainly enjoy learning more about it all.
One question that was sparked by some comments with turbos’ power delivery:
Would its power be easier on the rotational driveline components compared to a pd blower? If the torque isn’t instant, then the rotational shear...
Please pardon my ignorance for the following as I’m trying to educate myself on this:
I’m leaning heavily towards a turbo setup for street use purposes for my 2020 5.0/a10, but keep getting recommended either a Whipple or Paxton setup citing “maintenance and upkeep” of a turbo setup.
What is...
Good point.
If general rule of thumb is 0.1 shaved off for every 100lbs lost, how much weight reduction would need to take place for the N/A car to consistently beat the boosted car?
Excellent condition, just needs to be cleaned up a little bit after being stored on a shelf in my garage.
This five channel amp really excels for sound quality setups with some tweeters, mids, and a sub all ran off it.
$400 plus shipping.
My apologies for the confusion. Basically asking about the last sentence.
"Plenty of 550ish wheel na coyotes putting the hurt on 700-800 boosted coyotes. Even from rolls."
I think he's talking about how the CJ/Cams setup has power come on earlier and stay/slowly climb with the rpm's while the...
Was reading some YouTube comments about a Gen 3 with a ported Cobrajet, single blade TB, and Stage 2 Comp Cams that put down 550whp, and came across this one.
Is there any truth to this?
This is his response to that:
"I see what he means. He's meaning apply the Flex changes from the truck directly to the MBT tables. But I honestly don't see that working because it's Throttle that blips, not timing."
Thanks for the suggestions.
I relayed what you said to my tuner, his response was:
"That only works if flex is active. Not an e85 ONLY tune.
I do that on flex tunes.
Now I can take your flex tune and lock it where it never looks for 93 octane also.
2 different methods."
No, it's a HUGE difference between the stock and flex tune rev matching, and the e85 tune. Almost like it's stuck in S Mode instead of D Mode. Way more violent.
Encountered a weird problem that my tuner or myself can't figure out.
Using HP Tuners, we flashed a flex tune to see how well I would be able to manage running e85 only since there's only three gas stations that carries it in a 50 mile radius.
After about a month, I felt comfortable with going...
I have a 2020 Mustang GT with the bare bones factory radio and speakers. I am wanting to replace and upgrade with the following:
Fronts: Focal RSE 165 Component set (will consider any other recommendations for components)
Rears: Remove factory speakers, leave holes empty for bass fill, and...
