The company who installed my PPF did it in individual strips to protect the paint and the stripes. They said if they protected the whole surface with 1 piece, there would be air bubbles that they couldn’t get out where the PPF transitions from the hood to the stripes. That said, I like that...
I am watching that car closely. My car is a 19R, FP Blue with white stripes and only option is the carbon dash. If that one can’t crack $100k, no chance my could.
I am here because of it. I sold my Gen V TA Viper to get an ACR, but you see where those are selling now. Hell, my TA would sell for $150k in this market (I sold 1 year ago for $120k and paid nowhere close to that new). Since I couldn’t buy an ACR due to a $250k+ price point, I went with the R...
I had a 2014 Viper TA prior to my R. I actually sold the TA to buy an ACR, but they increased in value so much that they rapidly moved out of reach. I bought the R because I always liked it’s DNA and really wanted to experience the Voodoo. I took it on a drive through the North Ga mountains this...
Did they ever explain why the original engine failed? The 19’s have the Gen 2 Voodoo and it “seems” the failures are fewer and via different mechanisms than the Gen 1’s. Either way, as long as it is a documented factory replacement I don’t foresee a measurable impact on resell.
I wonder to what degree the people paying these prices are investing or simply trying to accumulate the best examples of ICE due to the extinction event everyone is expecting from EV’s. I specifically went after my R for the latter because there will never be another Voodoo and it has the best...
They will have carbon neutral fuels that ICE can run on in a green future. They will be more expensive than fuel from the pump, but have a net zero carbon impact on the environment. Porsche is already investing in this type of fuel -...
