Update 9/1. So, all of the parts, including a long block, have been ordered. The oil cooler is on back order until at least 9/27 so I am still a long way from getting the car back. Disappointed is a mega understatement.
I met with my Ford dealer today. It looks as if my case may be expedited and I am very hopeful of getting a new engine if everything falls into place. The correct people were at the dealership today which really worked in my favor.
We will see. I will continue to keep y’all informed.
My Ford dealer is very reputable, however their service department has grown exponentially in the last two years and I have no idea how the new hires play into that.
Thanks for the detailed response. I don’t have an issue yet with the dealer other than the delay in getting the car in the bay until the 23rd. I think they will do better than that due to my relationship with the dealer and my relationship with the sales manager. He lives two houses down the...
Well I’ve bought 3 mustangs from this dealership so I’m hoping for better than average results. Not off to a great start but they’ve been great on previous warranty issues with my other cars.
