Hi ILStang, interested in your wheels and tires for my 2015. I am in far west Chicago burbs,
St. Charles. If you are not too far south I would like to take a look. Would you mind giving out
your location? Thanks Jim
Thanks First Stang, just bought the impact kit, great deal. It showed as sold out so I clicked on email me when back in stock. It took 2 days for their email but I got the deal.
Here is something that has worked for me several times. Mix some Dawn and water in a spray bottle. Turn the ignition on, place the HVAC to heat mode, turn the blower on high and close the doors and make sure the windows are fully closed.
Spray around all the glass edges, weatherstrips, body...
I like your idea of a vacuum leak. Try brake clean with the red tube stuck in the
nozzle. Spray in short bursts all around the intake. You will hear rpm change if
you have a leak.
This sounds like it could be a blend door problem. If some of the vents are blowing cold that
means the system is working but air distribution is incorrect. R+R of an evaporator is too big
of a job to be guessing.
Any whistle sound would be a vacuum leak. The extra air would disrupt fuel trims and cause
some of your symptoms. I would make sure the throttle body is clean.
To add to my previous post. This actually happened to me once. The stop lamp filament breaks inside the bulb and touches the tail lamp filament. The stop lamps are then back fed by the tail lamp circuit. Remove the bulbs and look carefully at the filaments to see if they are touching.
Sounds like the tail lamp and brake lamp wires are reversed. Possibly bulbs installed backwards? Look at wiring at rear to see if some one butchered the harness hooking
up trailer wiring.
Sounds like your clutch is not releasing fully. To test, with engine off and park brake released
shift into first or reverse, start engine with clutch pedal on floor. If car rolls at all or jerks you
have a clutch or hydraulic throw out bearing issue.
I agree with skye, I would never store on jack stands, if the house caught fire you might be
able to save the car and if the car started burning you could roll it outside to save the house.
I had good luck removing light scratches with motorcycle windshield polish. Do not
use any type of aggressive rubbing or polishing compounds or sandpapers.
