ford has made a habit of using the previous special edition cars engine modifications standard on the GT the next generation
2010 mustang was a bullitt
And the 2005 mustang used the mach 1 as a base line for performance testing
Brah really any of the navistar engines, especially the 6.4 lmfao 🤣. The 3 valves any of them basically didn’t last, a lot of money for alot of warranty work
the coyote will have one more generation i could see them getting 500hp and calling it a day
I had a similar issue way back when testing stage 3 comp cams for a gEN 1 coyote. The base cap kept rubbing the cylinder head and making a squeaking noise, took months to figure out. Ended up needed a new head no metal shaving or anything but a pain in the butt and it sent cam timing off alot
What kills me about the hpp is the fact ford spent a good deal of energy coming out with it and talking about it. Once it launched nothing really came of it
Honestly i would be absolutely livid if i bought one and didn’t get what i ordered. They’re is absolutely no excuse for how this went down and i still think they’re not doing enough
I’ve been very critical of the mach 1 for being very parts bin special and rather well boring but i gotta say you’re 100 percent correct here. The mach 1 is expensive as is, what i would of liked for them do have done is one of these two things
1) cnc machine the heads
2) use a 93mm stroke to...
If ya do the math the mach 1 is a lot closer to 500hp which everyone with half a brain already knew. And the reason for that is simple, on a gEN 2 car with the frpp stage 3 kit which is what the bullitt and mach 1 have. It was Officially rated at 478hp and with all the advancements with the gEN...
let say that
1) most of the plastic scratches will come out with a foam bad buffer and some plastic polish, but it shows how much they cared about prep work
2) the painted parts are the worst it’s like they didn’t care
This thread isn’t here to start any wars but I have a friend of mine who doesn’t seem to understand the gt350s have had some fairly major issues throughout there lives. Engine failures not withstanding I just wanted to make a poll to get some data
Thanks
2022 MY Will be the last year for the s550, the next gEN car will be based on the CD6 Unibody architecture from the new explorerUnibody architecture from the new explorer. So this means A hybrid is coming in someway shape or form
I was wonder if any of the vendors or dyno guys on here can post a graph showing the difference in power. Between a gen 3 coyote, bullitt “mach 1” and gt350
it would be really interesting
