  1. $150 H-pipe resonator delete vs $300 H-pipe

Go with something made of 304 stainless. For $300, you ARE paying for the Roush name...and I'm not even sure they make one for the GT350. I only see listings for Mustang GT (5.0L Coyote). If/when I do this, I will most likely go with Steeda...
  2. Signed up for my first Track Day: should I remove my sub?

FOLLOW UP: Track day was absolutely PHENOMENAL! I am truly impressed with this car - it just instills confidence in its capabilities. The feedback is outstanding and I felt very connected to the car during the whole event. Speed came and the car never felt unsettled. This allowed me to focus on...
  3. Signed up for my first Track Day: should I remove my sub?

Will do. Got a nice blend of nervousness and excitement heading into it.
  4. Signed up for my first Track Day: should I remove my sub?

Thanks for the responses, all. Turns out I WILL be removing the sub (not a big deal since they set it up with quick-disconnect wiring). Coming home last night I had the opportunity to take a turn at a decent rate of speed. Got it to just the beginning of a nice and gentle four-wheel-drift with...
  5. Signed up for my first Track Day: should I remove my sub?

Pretty excited as I finally bit the bullet and signed up my first SCCA Track Day. I recently had my base stereo upgraded and now I have a 12" Rockford Fosgate subwoofer mounted in my trunk. When I say "mounted", I mean wedged underneath the rear shelf with additional "wedging" pieces supplied...
  6. GT350 Splitter Vinyl Letters

Snapped a few pics when I got home last night.
  7. GT350 Splitter Vinyl Letters

Reach out to Kim Kohler on Facebook if you want a better alternative to just vinyl film. I originally had vinyl film letter inserts and ended up going with his acrylic letters. High quality product and stand-up guy. www.wattsitworth.com is his website but if you contact him directly...
  8. I want my 30 minutes back (Sport Cup2's are not "directional")

Just don't mount them upside down and you'll be fine. ;)
  9. Stumbles at idle

I notice this occasionally as well....more like the idle drops a bit low an then gets kicked back up. And usually just during the first few minutes of driving. Never had an issue.
  10. 2020 GT350 Heritage Edition 800R Supercharged | Photos & Video

The supercharger kit is rated at 60 lbs.
  11. MGW Short Shifter

From what I understand, MGW is developing an updated version of the shifter for the GT350. Once the Mach 1 was released (with the same transmission), MGW started developing a shifter for that. Since I would imagine they are pretty similar, I believe they were trying to develop one shifter that...
  12. Resonator Delete

Resonator delete should not cause any issues at all. That's how the "R" models come. The change isn't that dramatic that the computer's harmonic tune process (whatever THAT is) would be affected. Resonator deletes are on my short list of things to do next. I say go for it!
  13. Jacking rails, yes or no?

Jacking rails are one of the very first thing I did to mine. Are they necessary? No. Do they give me piece of mind? Absolutely. I can be pretty careful when I'm working on my car so I didn't feel they were a necessity (for me). That being said, I now feel comfortable jacking the car up...
  14. Jacking rails, yes or no?

Just giving you a heads up: my brother got these for his Shelby but even with the low profile jack he was using, the puck still stood too high to get under the pinchweld section. If you have an even lower-profile jack than he did it might work - but that was the issue we ran into with his car.
  15. Thoughts on the 2023 Z06?

I think this car will be outstanding! I've been saying this from the introduction of the mid-engined C8: the car is really going to shine with a lot more horsepower (than the 490 in the "regular" Corvette). Really glad to see they put some work in developing a flat-plane V8 kicking out some...

  17. Clicking from driver's rear wheel when cornering

Just wanted to circle back on this: It worked. Removed the wheel, cleaned the interior of the wheel (where it meets the hub), cleaned the hub lip and put the wheel back on torquing the lug nuts to 150 ft-lbs. I don't know how or why this worked, but it did - no more clicking. Thanks to all...
  18. Backfire on cold start?

Possible leaking injector adding fuel to a cylinder causing the backfire. Wouldn't necessarily notice it on a warm start since the car had been running and fuel hadn't had time to pool in the cylinder...and otherwise would drive relatively fine. Just a guess on my end, though...
  19. Clicking from driver's rear wheel when cornering

Very cool! Thanks for the responses, you guys. Cheap, easy fix is what I'll try.
  20. Clicking from driver's rear wheel when cornering

I have noticed a clicking that occurs when I am taking a right turn. The noise appears to be coming from the driver's side rear tire and is wheel-speed dependent. When I originally noticed it, I figured I had a pebble wedged in the tread somewhere. Now, after a few hundred miles, it is still...
