The idea is good, but it still leaves a trace at the end. The best option is the ECU/PCM change which can't be detected from them at all. They only know the valves have to open, but not when and under what conditions.
Its Germany, we got laws for everything here. I have to carry a paper with me (official document, can't tamper it) which says that the car has an exhaust valve which can be controlled manually. The police will stop me while driving around and there is no time to unplug the valves or anything...
I actually managed to do that change. Replaced the stock headers with "Friedrich motorsport" headers including 200 cell cats. Had to extend the o2 sensor since it wasn't long enough and disable the after cat sensors + everything from the GPF. The exhaust is also changed with a BCE/Grail one...
I don't think unplugging would be the way to go since that seems to be a one time thing and the second someone switches the exhaust mode they would get into the old position?
The HP Tuners configuration sounds interesting, do you have to happen any screenshots or more information about that? I...
I recently installed catted headers + a new valved exhaust on my 2020 GT which sounds just gorgeous - but sadly it's about 3-4 dB too loud which can get me into trouble with the police here. Due to recent law changes the police here is allowed to measure the exhaust in all drive modes that are...
