Update.
Fitted the new switch with the old motor today, still not working. Plugged the new motor in, works perfectly.
You were absolutely right that the problem must lie within the motor. I've tried stripping the old motor down to investigate further, but the fixings for the harness section...
Think I might be onto something here. The weather strip on the outside of the window on my car appears to be fitted different to what I've found online. The strip that runs along the base of the window where it meets the triangular rubber seal near the wing mirror are overlapping the opposite...
so it's raining at the moment and I decided to go and see if I could tell where the water ingress was coming from. With the door closed so the glass seals as it should, I took a video looking up through the door speaker aperture and this is what I saw. The video won't upload or link so I took...
Yeah, there was water in the plug. From what I've read when it's the door sensor, the window drops and raises randomly as if the door were opening and closing. I don't get that issue, I just get the inoperable door switch.
So I've ordered the parts that arrive on Monday. I'll update the thread then with the outcome.
Of note, the window motor from ford is £192. However, rockauto have the part for £58. The part number is shown as FR3Z7823394A which is different from the UK part number. While in the parts dept I...
Mines doing this now too. I tried the dielectric grease too no avail. Then pulled the switch apart convinced it must be the switch seeing as the auto drop and raise with the door opening and closing still works along with the global opening from the fob. My idea was to try and swap the switches...
When my car was in at gt101 recently, I spoke to David about retrofitting the cooler option from the mach one to standard GT's. I can't recall the exact reason why, but he's looked into it himself and says that it's just not possible to do it. I think it's something to do with the location of...
The sporadic oil cooler threads finally got to me, so I bit the bullet and booked her in with gt101 to have their oil cooler kit fitted. I wanted to post here to commend their service and workmanship. I can finally sleep at night knowing it's been done..... Oh, and while she was in, I thought...
Bought this from a seller on eBay a while ago but never fitted.
It's a stick on spoiler that has the double sided tape that came with it.
Reason for not fitting is I was never happy with the finish, which I've tried to capture in the photos. It also has a slight mark which I've shown in one...
So I've had similar issues with mine, with no melted multiplug. I reset the hvac system and it all started working again. Press and hold the ac and recirc buttons together for 5 seconds then release, followed by a press of the ac button. The moment I did it, my seat immediately started hearing up.
I know this is my first post here, but I've been lurking for months having bought my mustang a while ago. Having read this thread I thought I'd let you in on my recent ac issue that I found on mine.
During a road trip at the end of summer, I popped the bonnet on arrival for a quick visual...
