  1. Selling GT350R for new Porsche 718 Spyder?

Oddly, I find myself in the same position: I've ordered a 2022 718 GTS 25th anniversary edition, which means I'll have to sell my GT350. The two cars couldn't be more different, and I love them both.
  2. MGW short throw vs. Steeda GT MT-82 Tri-Ax Race Short Throw Shifter

Hmmm...That's the first I've heard of this. Makes sense. No implications for warranty (on a GT350)?
  3. Illinois GT350 custom steering wheel

It was custom made by WC Lathe Works. The guy is a meticulous genius. This particular one is a stainless steel sphere with narrow grooves, no shift pattern on top, and a gunmetal, slightly bronzed finish (to give it a subtle bluing, which matches the car). He has engineered a system for...
  4. Best replacement tire for a gt350.

I installed 255/ZR-19s in the front; 275/ZR-19s in the rear, on Forgeline monoblock custom forged wheels
  5. Illinois GT350 custom steering wheel

Brand-new Vivid Racing red perforated leather and silver carbon fiber custom steering wheel for all 2018+ S550 (including GT350). All controls installed. Never used. Installed for one day to assure perfect fitment and correct function of all controls. Triple stripe (German colors). Ship in...
  6. MGW short throw vs. Steeda GT MT-82 Tri-Ax Race Short Throw Shifter

Oh, definitely the GT350 (with the Tremec, of course).
  7. MGW short throw vs. Steeda GT MT-82 Tri-Ax Race Short Throw Shifter

Since some of you seem to have some personal experience and expertise with the MGW, let me ask: Would this be the right fix for a stiff and sloppy 1-2 and 2-3 shift, especially in cold weather? Or is this actually a result of the Tremec itself? I haven't had an MGW for 25 years (absolutely...
  8. Best replacement tire for a gt350.

I absolutely hated the stock tires on my 2018 GT350, which tramlined worse than any tire I've ever owned. I might have held on, hoping I got used to it, but I also wanted to improve wet traction, and I wanted to be able to drive the car in cold weather. So I installed a set of Michelin Pilot...
  9. Recaro seats YES or NO ??

This isn't true (or, at least, it wasn't true of a 2018 GT350). Mine has the optional recaros, and they are neither heated nor cooled. I like the recaros very much, both for looks and feel. But I hate the alcantara with which they are usually covered, so had to go to the expense and trouble...
  10. Help me in choosing my next mustang, gt or ecoboost?

I've driven both, so the decision would be easy for me. The ecoboost has the right numbers, but the sound is awful (and there's nothing in the aftermarket that will make it right). But if I were in your position--especially because I sense this will be an important decision for you--I'd wait...
  11. Upgrading wheels, have questions

I faced the same question a few years ago on a 911 with a rougher ride than I could abide. Casual research (too casual, it would turn out) suggested that going from 20s to 19s would improve the ride, so I made the switch. (I wanted to change wheels anyway.) It made NO difference. A Porsche...
  12. Stripes

I think they look terrific, tho' the white would not be my first choice. Upside: the thin stripes are very easy to remove, giving you the option of having only the wide black stripes, or adding a thin stripe of another color (also an easy job). I happen to be a fan of flat gold with grey and...
  13. Selling GT350R for new Porsche 718 Spyder?

Congratulations! I've always loved this color combo, especially with the black wheels. Looks as if it has the black script on the rear, as well? Is the interior red? This thing will keep its value. Michael
  14. Selling GT350R for new Porsche 718 Spyder?

Boy, I'm with you on "the roots thing". I'm 75, and have had a dozen or more Mustangs over the years, starting with the original (1964-1/2). (I even fell for one of those horrible Mustang II derivatives in the mid-70's). This GT350 feels like the real thing, and much better glued together than...
  15. Selling GT350R for new Porsche 718 Spyder?

Wow, I was thrilled to read your note, and to hear there might be a system which would produce a deeper, throatier, less-raspy, smoother, more German tone. Did you install the entire system (headers, cats, etc.) or just the catback? I listened to several of the full systems on YouTube, and...
  16. Selling GT350R for new Porsche 718 Spyder?

You might be right, tho' I tend to stay out of the RPMs largely because of the raspiness in the sound. My sons--now grown, and raised to love cars--visited recently, and told me I have started driving like an old woman.
  17. Selling GT350R for new Porsche 718 Spyder?

I've had both, and can attest to the wonder of each, but also to the fact that they couldn't be more different. The Boxster shifts MUCH better, and the handling is worlds apart. It's not that the Shelby won't go around a corner well, but the Porsche is just so precise, crisp, unshakeable. I...
  18. 2018 Mustang GT, GT350 steering wheel

Impatience on my part (I waited almost 8 months for the wheel I ordered before I gave up and canceled it, then ordering from Vivid Racing; not a week later the original wheel I ordered arrived) has left me with two custom steering wheels for 2018+ GT, 350 and 350R. I had already installed the...
  19. Best mice deterrent for winter car storage?

I always clear them out in the spring, and put in a fresh batch in the fall. Seems the threat is much greater in the colder months.
  20. 2018 Mustang GT, GT350 steering wheel

Things changed in 2018. While a wheel made for a 2015-2017 model can be made to fit, it requires some scraping and forcing, with which I'm not at all comfortable around an airbag. There's a slight difference in the fitment of a 2018+ car.
