  1. Leather -> Recaro Cloth Seats? Possible?

Thanks! Any idea price range of the Recaros and price the leather are worth?
  2. Leather -> Recaro Cloth Seats? Possible?

Shopping a GT350, but really want the Recaro seats. Been seeing a ton of leather optioned cars in the spec I want, but really don't want the bulky leather seats. What kind of cost/overhead am I looking at for a swap?
  3. GT350R (Carbon Fiber Rim Rash Repair?)

$900+shipping+case.....or sharpie. This is a hard decision.
  4. GT350R (Carbon Fiber Rim Rash Repair?)

  5. GT350R (Carbon Fiber Rim Rash Repair?)

Heard most shops don’t want to touch the CF at all..
  6. GT350R (Carbon Fiber Rim Rash Repair?)

I know it’s a hard pic to see...any possibly in fixing/painting this rash?
  7. Buying a 2017 GT350R

Probably going to be a garage queen during the winters, then weekend driver rest of season. Would really like to own it long term.
  8. Buying a 2017 GT350R

I'm not the most familiar with why the oil consumption is high. is it bore scoring issues? are the cylinders lined or is the scoring directly on the engine block? Also, what is cost of engine replacement out of warranty? Thanks!
  9. Buying a 2017 GT350R

I has its 5 year powertrain still left. NO extended warranty.
  10. Buying a 2017 GT350R

Hey! Really wanted a 2019 GT350R with upgraded block, but looks to be priced outside my range right now. Found a decently priced 2017 with around 14k miles on it. Anything I should be looking out for? Most concerned about owners comments on oil usage (6 quarts over 4,000 miles). Would this be...
  11. GT350 vs. GT350R (more reliable engine?)

so in closing? The engine between a 2016-2018 GT350 and GT350R are slightly different, but nothing to help improve the engine "grenading" issue. This issue might be "addressed" with the 2019 GT350 model with the GT500 enhanced block. I get that right? So, in summary if I'm looking for a long...
  12. GT350 vs. GT350R (more reliable engine?)

but a 2016-2018 GT350R is the same exact engine as the GT350? Correct? just all models 2019+ get the upgrade internals?
  13. GT350 vs. GT350R (more reliable engine?)

I'm worried about the long term life of the GT350 engine in the used market and see most recommend buying the upgraded 2019+ GT350. I saw a couple people recommend shopping a GT350R because it has the upgraded enigne in all years of it's make? Is this true? Does the GT350R already have the...
  14. used GT350 Purchase (40-50k range)

Honestly not sure about the exact issue. I just know the repair, replace the entire engine with a 2019+ engine. Wouldn't think they would do that for oil pump issue.
  15. used GT350 Purchase (40-50k range)

sorry still clarifying this in the thread. no fantasy here that it will be an "long term investment" car. I'm looking at 3 year curve of depreciation and trying to find the best money spent over 2-3 years. Like my previous cars i'm almost netting zero on buy/selling cars in the 2-3 year hold...
  16. used GT350 Purchase (40-50k range)

I thought the stronger block was in the 2019+ not the 2018.
  17. used GT350 Purchase (40-50k range)

O no! I only look for smallest deprecation curve over the band of 2-3 years before I buy. This isn't a long term investment, which is a horrible idea (I 100% agree the only ford is the GT). My previous cars have been 997 series 911s, lotus exige and my wrangler. All owned for only 2-3 years max...
  18. used GT350 Purchase (40-50k range)

that's a great price! I'm wondering if the 19s will drop more in the spring/summer 2020...
  19. used GT350 Purchase (40-50k range)

Thanks! My usually buying moto is to spend the least amount of $ over 3 years (15k miles) on the most fun sports car. My finds have been a 2006 997.1 (bought for 40k and sold for 40K after 15k miles) and a lotus exige S240 (bought for 55k and sold for 57k after 10k miles). I'm wondering if the...
  20. used GT350 Purchase (40-50k range)

How about spring/summer of 2020 the 2019s dropping? Would be looking to purchase around that time? Is the 2019 engine revamp worth the extra $? I usually only bought sports cars that have held their value (ex: porsche 911 (997), exige). Kinda why i'm looking at that 2016 (35-40k price point)...
