It's all the camera angle. The floor pans are the same. My aftermarket mats from my '19 exactly fit the new 2026. Gen 7s are heavier, but not really physically larger, unless the overhangs have added length.
Yesterday, I picked up my 2026 "replacement" Mustang GT and traded in my 2019, so I guess I'm kicked outta here and into Mustang7G.com. Thanks for all the great ideas and information. I learned much more than I shared.
Apparently, I have a type!
I've had six Mustang GTs -- the last three have been convertibles. I was looking at 2022 CPO Mercedes-Benz SL63 AMG GT convertibles. You can get some super low-mileage ones that must just be coming out of leases. They have similar seating(worthless back seats), more power and all-wheel...
I've never even tried to do anything about the BBQ tick, it's just the nature of the beast. As to the soft top issue, I have a 2019 convertible that I drove daily until retirement. I used to scrub the top with a horsehair brush using 303 Tonneau Cover & Convertible Top Cleaner, then let the...
I live in Northwest Ohio and, for some reason, everyone around here thinks that 100 degree temperatures mean it's time to put the convertible top down. I saw three convertible Mustang GTs with the tops down a couple of days ago in searing heat. I say that's why convertibles still come with air...
I had a small rock chip that Safelite repaired in my garage and my insurance covered 100%. Now, I can't even see where it was without really looking hard.
I have a 2019 manual GT convertible. I am now retired. The car sat outside every work day for 3 years. I treated the top with 303 Fabric Guard after a good scrubbing with the 303 cleaner -- twice a year when it was sitting out and annually now that I have retired. The top is still in great...
I have a 2019 GT 6M with about 75K miles on it. I am a barbarian in that I only use 87 octane gas, except at high altitudes, and have been using 7,500 mile cycle for oil changes based on results of Blackstone testing of my oil. I have always used Motorcraft full synthetic -- initially 5w-20...
Has anyone else recently gotten a letter from Ford which includes the following: "Ford Motor Company is voluntarily conducting a study on certain customer-owned vehicles to evaluate the software currently installed on one or more electronic modules in your vehicle?" It asks me to contact my...
I had a couple of the mirror puddle lamps fall out in the first few thousand miles. My dealer replaced them under warranty. Instead of continuing with that game, I put a piece of clear Gorilla tape over the last one and it has held in place for another 6+ years. The clear tape does not...
I'd get the oil analyzed and see if bearing metals are showing up in your oil. What you see in the combustion chambers is only tangentially related to what is going on in the crankcase.
From a quick scan, I don't see that your second question was ever directly addressed. I have the Mishimoto separator on a Stock '19 GT. I like how the can mounts out of the way (see attached photo). Since it's under the radiator support cover, you do have top remove the 11 push pins to easily...
I am a self-admitted barbarian. I wash my car using only one bucket, etc. I have 70K miles on my 2019 GT and have only run premium in it for a couple of tankfuls while at high altitudes on a Route 66 trip. I always try to do a couple of pulls to redline in 2nd and 3rd on a weekly basis to...
I didn't understand it, but it sounded like "kidney dialysis" for your cooling system. My uneducated guess is that they pH neutralize your coolant, filter it, maybe add new additives, then put it back in your car. Again, I do not really know. I just know that I couldn't change from orange to...
I had my '19 switched over to the yellow coolant since it seemed to be better for the long run. My dealer could not do the switch. They no longer drain and fill. They only reprocess your existing coolant and put it back in.
Just washed it and scrubbed the top with 303 Tonneau Cover & Convertible Top Cleaner. Now I'm letting the noonday sun evaporate all of the moisture from the top material before an application of 303 Fabric Guard. The flat black fabric in the sun is up to 156 degrees after only about 10...
