Thanks! The Griot's ceramic wax sounds like a really good tip. I may chase that down once I run out of P&S Beadmaker. Not sure if you've ever tried that one, but it adds great protection and gloss. I need to do a little more research to see what can and cannot bond with the ceramic coating...
I'll also post my own photos once the ceramic coating fully cures and maybe I'll be able to get some picturesque mountains in the background. These California wildfires cause the SLC valley to get really hazy.
A little late posting this, but I finally took delivery of my dream car on August 4th after lurking on this forum and shopping around for at least a year!
She just got PPF on nearly all panels & Ceramic all around. I wasn't going to travel to Indiana, since I have a now 2 month old boy and...
If I'm the guy on the line building that block and my name is on the engine, I'm probably not going to rush the job I'm hoping to keep. Also, for my own sanity, I plan on getting an extended warranty no matter what year or chassis number I get. Just my 2 cents.
With that being said, I'd probably still try to muscle them into honoring that deal and while I was at it, I'd cite some other prices. Eventually, they'll get so worn down from multiple inquiries and pushing their financing that they'll have to move the inventory. They must be pretty patient...
This is really helpful. Thanks for warning us about this kind of crap. This tactic seems to be rampant and highly irritating for people who expect a fairly straightforward buying experience. I would never put up with this bait and switch behavior from any dealer and hopefully, no one on this...
I've found a couple of the lead foot grays recently. They're gorgeous, but I want memory & heated/cooled seats. There is a lead foot gray up in Seattle that you could drive home for $52K. Can't go wrong with the black painted roof, either...
This depends on whether the '18 has the color and specs you want. Given some of the prices I've seen, I wouldn't pay more than around $52K OTD for an '18, but I'd pay $60K for a '19 or even a '20.
Man, you could sell a lot of people on Velocity Blue with that single photo! The lines of the car really stand out. Great choice and great photo! I've been shooting with a Canon EOS Rebel SL2 for a couple of years now and I still consider myself a beginner.
Definitely understand, but there’s no reason why, in 2020, you can’t put some email pressure on a dealer to go lower than $59K. Holding inventory is a different beast no matter what state you’re in. It’s all about what you’re willing to accept. I’d gladly drive over 100 miles or fly out to get...
In Utah, I could've bought a loaded 2019 for $59k AND they were willing to offer 90 days no payments. If you search now, you'll find $56K and $57K loaded 2019 models. I'd push for $55K, which is about a 5K premium to new 2018 GT350s right now.
Hah! Nope. Altogether ruled them out. Can't trust anything on TV....or the internet, for that matter, but I figured this was a great way to really drill down on bias. Reuters is by far my most trusted source.
