If using the stock amp, you need 4Ohm DVC. The amp wants a 2Ohm load. Each set of wires will go to one of the 4Ohm voice coils.
Honestly, skip it though. Just use a real amp that's 1Ohm stable, and keep the sub you have. Replacing the sub and using the stock amp is not worth it.
Put off my windshield replacement for way too long just for this very reason. Dropped it off this morning and reset the G meter before I left.
0.58 acceleration when I picked it.up.
Like why can't they just do the service without playing around?
Agreed.. and to add to this the cell phone data can't really assume you are driving. If it's your vehicle, they will assume you are. Plus the vehicle can send data points like seat belts, acceleration rates, etc. All of this is data the insurance companies would probably love to have. This...
I've been using the Motorola adapter for about 6-8 months. Plugged it in the center console and forgot about it. It's been pretty flawless. Sometimes it takes it a bit to link up, but it's only happened a couple of times.
What does all this solve?
Even if corporate told them to bow down and cater to my every need, I still wouldn't go back. I have no desire to do business with them.

Agreed. I wish mine didn't have it but I bought it off the lot and it just happened to be equipped. I've never used any of it.
She was it. Hence the "my techs" comment. I don't think corporate is going to care about a franchisee operating this way. Especially if it's under the guise of...
I'm curious if this is true for the lane assist as well? It sounds like everyone in this thread has had wildly different experiences with this programming process.
Update...
Went to the appointment this morning. Asked about the driving portion and if it would be ok if I drove. The lady acted like I offended her and started raising her voice. "NO SIR, I would NEVER put my technicians in that situation". Then proceeded to beat me down for several...
I wonder what happens if you have disabled the cell connection to the car. I know several people in this forum have pulled the fuse in light of potential data collection issues.
So did you drive when they did this calibration?
My windshield took a rock the other day and it cracked all the way across almost instantly. The insurance co scheduled the replacement through Safelite, but it says the installer will need to drive the car after install to calibrate everything.
Gotta tell ya, not a huge fan of this idea. The...
