Pressure tested and it kept to 16psi for 15 minutes with ease cold not tried hot it's also got metal thermostat already so must be cap. Ordered one though so hopefully no boil over.
It seems the pressure cap on this is naff to. Took for a longer drive and a bit of steam from bonnet. Coming from coolant cap... lost a bit of water gone to half way down in bottle. Anyone know who sells new caps?
Came back with the garage said a small crack in the thermostat housing (I think?) ... Not 100% sure kept dodging sending a pic of coolant before it went into garage. In the mean time I found a black GT 2006 model with most things done to it exhaust, underseal etc and radio conversion to dab for...
Guy got back to me and said coolant is low near to bottom of tank! It's a blue colour light blue he said. Got my kits on way to test. He's got it in garage tomorrow to do coolant and possibly pressure test himself. Wonder what damage this can do to engine...
It is a lovely car full history but he is not a car savvy type more a general driver etc nice fella. But I wouldn't want the car to have overheated and kept on driving as I don't think he would know to be fair. It's got fully history no vin problems which I like just worried on any overheating...

Car seems clean all paperwork and service receipts etc but that bottle worries me.
This is a car for sale I went looking at guy uses as a daily driver I'm more worried if it'last enough to cause overheating. Engine sounded fun up to temp nothing weird but I also could see the fluid level in the tank.
