Another old guy here and I love my retired rental vert. It spent its first year of life serving the fine folks of Las Vegas which allowed me to buy it cheap. Of course, I'm probably one of the few people who drive it harder than it was treated during the rental life, but it is well maintained...
It was there on my 2018 Ecoboost Premium convertible so it is hard to imagine it not being on GTs. Plugged in and the boost gauge worked perfectly. Oil pressure, not so much. Requires a custom tune to enable on my car. Not sure if that is the same for the GT models.
I swapped upper and lower, but not before cutting open the back so that all of the holes in the honey comb were open. From how much of it was closed, I thought it would impact airflow to the intercooler too much if I didn't.
Rover nailed it. Memphis is the hub for FedEx and anything coming into the country will go there before for customs prior to being shipped to the receiver. UPS is the same way but with Louisville being the hub.
I'm not expecting any HP gains by using this. Just hoping for a little more turbo noise from the intake and the fact that it is an OEM airbox/Ford part means a little less hassle with service (still in warranty).
Any chance someone could at least pop theirs out and take some basic measurements for me? Overall length would be the big one as I can get the round bits from the parts I have.
I was more perturbed than anything. I'm just glad I'm not the type with my nose buried in a phone and I saw the car further up ahead swerve right. I thought it was going to be debris til she came around the curve.
Well, I messed up. I purchased the Ford intake on craigslist (https://cincinnati.craigslist.org/pts/d/cincinnati-2015-mustang-eb-stock-intake/6898326619.html) and didn't pay attention to the installed air tube. Long story short, the box still has the GT/GT350 tube on it and the seller can't...
