Thanks :-) - I took her for a late night spin yesterday, and got some more first impressions. Feels so much more solid, planted (it's a cliche, but I got no other words). Turns with more purpose and way less sway, and zero wheel stutter when merging onto a freeway, unlike before, even with the...
Got some Steeda suspension bits put on today on my PP2:
Ultimate Stop the Hop - but with the 555-4129 vertical links with polyurethane bushings
Camber Plates
Rear Lower Control Arm Spherical Bearings (apparently these took some doing to get in)
MagneRide Dual Rate Ultimate Handling Lowering...
Got mine installed at the dealer yesterday. I think they did a pretty neat job. Initial butt dyno readings are noting more pep in second from around 2k to 3k, normal and Sport+ both. Haven't had an opportunity to really get on it yet though.
Some odd notes: stock clutch feels more precise (I...
Getting mine installed tomorrow, will post butt dyno check when done :-) Went with it for the warranty, car a year old - even if I'm going to continue modding it (steeda suspension bits next). Throttle body is a nice upgrade over the Roush, glad I waited.
Thanks, the recent kit came with a clip and a bolt for the radiator support holes, which was lacking any hardware, being a Performance Pack. Looks like they added that recently. So I'm good, thanks for offering. I'll make an another attempt at banging things into shape tomorrow :-)
I didn't find a better thread, so resurrecting this one - did anyone figure out how to make the support brackets work with the belly pan? The ones that come with the lower grille replace?
I have a 2019 GT PP2, so lots of problems with the installation: There's an extra splash guard in front of...
Forgot this. Ad-hoc photo shoot with my phone :-) Ceramic Pro is 3 days old, plus a little xpel on the rocker and rear impact areas. I've got the speedform splash guards too - not that they can cover all of that tire - I'll see soon enough if they are any help.
A couple pushpins on my PP2 chin spoiler are already loose (California driveways... although I could swear I've never hit anything hard, just a mild scrape at worst) and I don't know how, but there's a small rock lodged in between the tea tray and the regular spoiler, making for a lopsided grin...
Thanks for the info to both of you. Looks like I have my plan set. Have to take a breather before any second set of rims though :-) I'll probably wear these first ones out on the street, maybe they will make first track day.
I've been trying to find out what the factory SC2 is exactly. Is it a custom compound for Ford, or is there an exact aftermarket replacement? For the street I'm looking at PS4S or similar eventually.
I just got a VB so pretty biased, but I will say this: it positively glows in the bright California sun. There's a really subtle color shift effect that is not captured well on camera. It looks different (better!) live, than in any picture I've seen. Also looks great at dusk. I could swear there...
Yeah, must have been a rock or water splash from the wash, or something. The tires are in perfect condition, thankfully. Picked it up today. Man, nothing can describe seeing it for the first time - I picked Velocity blue sight unseen, and had only seen one or two around town till now. It's...
Picking my PP2 up tomorrow. Can't wait! It arrived 5 days sooner than Ford tracking estimated. Dealer sent some pics, quality is not great, but I think it looks amazing  - but that right front tire looks off - is that a thumb-size hole at 1 o'clock? I guess I'll find out tomorrow...
