I hear you and it’s not my fight, but I’m almost 100 that they clearly state ride height is the single adjustment. The spanner wrenches are provided as well.
I was just trying to explain the guys suspension adjustment...
I’d agree with that, but I’m pretty sure ROUSH refers to it as 1 way adjustable suspension and 3 way adjustable suspension. They don’t reference shock dampening rates specifically.
I went from an X to an H, the H has a much deeper tone which I prefer. Sounds more like muscle cars sounded back in the day. Takes the harshness out of it.
Imma clear this up, Roush one way adjustable refers to ride height.
They have a threaded coil over front strut that you can screw up or down adjust.
The rear spring has an adjustable threaded collar spring perch that you rotate to adjust.
My RS3 is a single and it also came with spanned...
I get the caliper clearances etc... but there is so much room, clearing the calipers shouldn’t be a deciding factor. The tire and wheel should be sized to fit the car properly. If you want it to look like that why ask??
My opinion; too much. Should be flush. Absolutely no reason for an S550 to have tire/wheel hanging out. These cars have a tremendous amount of fender clearance, I can’t see a reason why you would need a tire that’s “too wide”.
I didn’t even know an upgraded manifold/cooler core over the Roush kit design existed.... I haven’t seen anything on their site about it. My RS3 has a Gen3 on it now, VMP never mentioned it.
How about the VMP underhood ice tank? I have one on my 5.0, it’ll hold a couple gallons for sure. I can pack 8 lbs of ice in it, 10 if the cubes are small. It mounts directly in place of the ROUSH style tanks. Basically the tank is screwed to the top of the fan shroud.
I’m not an expert, but the IRS “cradle / rear suspension” is a unit. Every part is bolted to the cradle itself except for the upper shock mounts. Therefore the camber and toe would be unaffected in the unit, but it could certainly change if you rotate or “move” the cradle in relation to the body.
Don’t worry about the caster, it’s fine. The more you have the easier it is for the steering wheel to “center itself” which also aids your strait line stability. BTW, you always, always, want positive caster.
Ingot Silver RS3 with weld rts
2017 RS3 with drag set up:
18” polished weld RTS and 26” m/t radials up front
17x10” polished weld rts and 305/45/17 ET Street R
It’s a non power pack GT so I chose the 18’s based on aesthetic appeal and due to their resale value fitting more applications...
