Just to give an update: First weekend on the Vitours were great. Once they were up to temp it, the grip was night and day vs my old ECS02. I ended up settling on 31 psi front and 30 psi rear but I think I can drop it a bit next time.
I finished 4/6 in CAM-C but my X runs at the end were almost...
I found this post with a write up on how to enable it: https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/threads/performance-shift-indicator-a10.187956/post-3778203
I'm looking forward to see the results. This may motivate me to fix my laptop and use forscan again.
Stock PP1 swaybars, front suspension is stock magneride except for the camber plates. Rear I have the Steeda differential bushing inserts, subframe braces and alignment dowels, FP knuck to toe link bearing assembly and recently put in Cortex rear monoball bearing kit as those OEM bushings were...
Sounds good, I think I have a laser thermo somewhere in the garage that I'll bring with me next time.
I'll try the camber specs next alignment too. Last time out was my first time with the -2.5 front and I was struggling with oversteer on corner exit. I was still using the ECS02 so I wasn't...
Thanks, my next event is on 2/7 and I'm excited to feel the difference.
Any idea what hot PSI I should be shooting for with the P1? Our courses are short, normally 40-60 secs, due to lot size. I think I saw Vitour had a blog going over PSI and said 30 PSI was ideal for autocross but I don't...
I don't know of any meets but I go to autocross at Storm Stadium in Lake Elsinore. There's usually a handful of Mustangs there. It'd be cool to see a GT500 out there.
P.S. I'm looking at moving out to Chino, Ontario, or Eastvale in the next year-ish. Eastvale wasn't originally on my radar but...
Thanks for the recommendations everyone. I ended up going with the Vitour Tempesta P1s as they appear to last longer than RE-71RS (Trying to still have a good time at autox while saving to buy a house is fun). I'm looking forward to feeling the difference compared to my current ECS02s.
Hey everyone,
I have about a year of experience in autocross and am looking to get new tires. I have been running Continental ECS02 285/35R19 on 19x10 Apex EC-7's as my daily driver and for autocross. I have an extra set of 18x10 Apex EC-7's and plan on using those only for autocross and...
I finally got my car back last Friday. It ended up just being the PCM was corrupted and needed to be reflashed.
Hopefully yours is fixed and stays that way!
"Peggy the White"
I had a 2019 that I named "Peggy" after my grandmother. That one ended up being a Ford buyback and replaced with the 2020 that I have now. I figured the updated name was fitting since it was "reborn" just like Gandalf.🧙‍♂️
@MiamiGT350 after cleaning and checking everything it was still doing the same things. Dropped the car off at the dealer yesterday and I just got back from loading the stock tune because they wouldn't touch the car with the Ford Performance tune loaded. After I let the service advisor know the...
Thanks for the info!
I just talked to Ford Performance techline and he acted like he thought it was an issue with the software/calibration. I emailed him my info and he said he would pass along to the programming guys.
I will definitely start with your advice if Ford Performance's help...
Hey everyone,
Has anyone got the P061D code and know what steps I should be taking to get it fixed? I'm hoping to avoid having to have it towed to the dealership.
Car details:
23,000 mi
2020 GT Premium PP1
10R80
Ford Performance tune installed 7/2020
I only have the Ford Performance ProCal4...
I found an industrial water company that was willing to rent me a large-ish DI tank for about $15/month. I wash my car weekly and only need to replace the tank once a year. And that is in Southern California with my TDS reading ~<350 from the tap! I know my company no longer takes new...
Not to derail this topic further but just a FYI... I found and 3D printed some air deflectors off of Thingiverse that fit perfectly instead of buying new ones.
It did a couple more times in the last few months I had the car but I had already gone through the buyback process with Ford by then. They let me keep driving the 2019 until my new 2020 was delivered.
My issue started after the dealership pulled apart my dash to replace the Sync3 screen bezel...
I take my 2020 GT to RMT Motorsports in Yorba Linda when I need work done that I can't do myself. They primarily work on exotics but I have seen GT500/350's, Corvettes, and Ford GT's in there also. I've been going there for 4-5 years and never had any issues.
I use the Sly Brackets with leveler add-on. It mounts using the lower grille so there's no issue with ground clearance when going in and out of my driveway. I am pretty sure the Sto n sho would have had issues with scraping.
