I was at a Drive-In Theater last night and we could not figure out how to run the radio (used for movie sound) and also turn off the three LED stripes in the front headlights.
Any ideas?
Does anyone know if it's possible to get these 50th Limited addition as replacements from FORD? or anyone else? Also does anyone know if they would fit a 2018 GT?
i think it was under $200. Found them online - shipped from China. We tried to get the real trim they have on some ecoboost models - but Ford wasnt playing.
Ok - No grille Pony and no side badges. But for some reason I like the quarter window louvers. I seem to be the only olne who likes them. I think they kind of balance out the chaos of the 2018 front end. IDK -- Am i getting too cheesy???? I would get them painted gloss black.
For those of you following my custom build "Olive GT" you know I've desgined custom side badges. Here is a link to the 3D files for this "Fly-Bar Pony". And some rough instructions for getting them made.
Pony Fly-Bar Design for free: For those of you who liked the Pony badges I designed for this car, here is a PDF with a link to the 3D files and instructions on 3D printing and chroming. Good Luck!!
I will be providing the files and the vendor contacts so anyone can have these made if they chose. The raw costs are *aprox $250 usd for one pair. That covers the costs of 3D printing and chroming. I will not be middle-manning this -- just give you the contacts and the files. More info soon.
I have to admit, designing and making these side badges were a pain. I'm not a 3D guy. I started with a photoshop mock up. I then hired a 3D artist to mock it up. I then worked another 3D sculpter who nailed the old school Pony. It was tough to convert it to a 3D printable file. Then I worked...
I worked with a friend / graphic designer to reinterpret the 68 side badge script logo. Billet Badges made me two these rear "Mustang" logos. (it took them 18 weeks). They look clean. I have the second in case this gets damaged.
Here is Olive with the grille in black but without badging. I also got a sheet of black ABS plastic and covered the lower grille. I wanted a cleaner look to the front end - less lines. I drove her like this for months. I was often asked what kind of car it was. Some thought it was mysterious...
Here is the car as it left the body shop. I then worked with a fabricator in LA to make the new Grill based on my mock up and new drawings. He finished in aluminum and I tested the fit before black powder coating.
