Bought new Jan 2, 2018 and I'm at 19200KM or 12000 miles. Sporting winter tires and nice rims this winter (bought wheels used and paid $400cad or about $8usd  or something like that... and the rims look better than my originals!, now that was a steal!, dealer wanted $2600cad for the set)...
Went back to the dealer I had the oil changed yesterday and ask them WTF! Let me tell you the mood in the shop was pretty somber, you could here a pin drop after I asked the shop foreman how much oil goes in a 2018 mustang GT. He checked his system and sure enough it was correct and said 9.5L...
Agreed.
The dealers should know better. Why is it we need to find this info out ourselves...
Interesting thing is the car was also low on oil when I first got it(I had to add 3/4 of a litre) I just assumed then that they missed it during the PDI but now I’m starting to think that the dealers...
Just had my first oil change (done at the dealer). Got home, parked the car and checked the dip stick the next morning. Well below the bottom hole on the dip stick. Checked dealer invoice and it said 8 litres. Called them up but unfortunately they were closed. Drove to closest place I could find...
Update:
Dealer said once they drove the car into the bay the light was off however the code reader complained about a "misfire". They checked the car, took it for a good test drive (I'm sure they did :-) and no other issues reported. I'll keep an eye on this and hopefully that is the last...
Tough crowd :-)
Surely I can't be the first 2018 GT owner to get the CEL. Just looking to see if any other 2018 GT owners have had the same experience.
Thanks TomcatDriver for the suggestions.
I will update the tread once I get more info from my dealer.
I just got the check engine light yesterday on my 2018 Mustang GT. Car is stock with no mods. Only 3200 Km on it. Planning on taking it into the dealer tomorrow or Tuesday but does anyone have any idea what this could be? Has this happened to anyone else with their 2018? Car still drives...
I just got the check engine light yesterday on my 2018 Mustang GT. Only 3200 Km on it. Planning on taking it into the dealer tomorrow but does anyone have any idea what this could be? Car still drives totally normal and as far as I know the CEL came on during normal driving (still winter here in...
Today my car rolled over the 600KM mark so I decided to venture into the "red line RPM realm". I'm happy to report that the car flew past the incorrectly marked 7000 RPM red line and came close to the 8000 RPM mark so I'm assuming it shifted pretty much at 7500! I had to do it to put my doubts...
Hello everyone. New to the forum. Ive been reading posts here for several months while waiting for my mustang(ordered in Aug, 2017)... Finally she arrived last week. Man am I happy with my purchase!
Ok I see the pic now! Ya thats my power plant alright. Good to know I at least have the power I so long waited for.
Anyone else notice how quickly it warms up in the morning when you do remote start. Its been a while since I had a V8 (1998 GMC pickup was my last 6.0L V8) but this thing pumps...
It’s my first mustang so it’s hard to compare. I did rent a 2017 last summer and it’s why I have one now but enterprise used the “my key” function to tune the car down to 420 HP I believe. So this one has lots more power but again it’s hard to compare. Has ford just spread 7400 rpm over the 7000...
Just picked up my 2018 GT on Jan 11th and Just joined the Forum. My car was built in Dec and I have the wrong RPM gauge as well. Anyway I can ensure I have the genIII engine?
