  1. 2017 Sync 3.0 to 3.4 Hardware APIM Swap?

Thanks, I have spoken with Hextall about a year ago. He's a tough guy to get in touch with. Last we talked he said he'd reach out if he saw any 2020s with Nav that were wrecked. I'm positive he's super busy and this probably isn't top on his list. You definitely can go the route of getting...
  2. 2017 Sync 3.0 to 3.4 Hardware APIM Swap?

I know there are software solutions to put the 3.4 software on a 3.0 APIM. Has anyone actually done the hardware swap to put a native 3.4 APIM into a car that has the 3.0 hardware? I've been trying to find a 3.4 APIM for quite some time but so far no dice. I have a 2017 with Sync 3 (on the...
  3. SYNC 3 swap, It's all in here

That should make it a super simple swap. Now to find the part # for a 2019 APIM w/NAV....
  4. SYNC 3 swap, It's all in here

Cool thanks for that. I kind of assumed the same thing
  5. SYNC 3 swap, It's all in here

Curious if anyone has done a direct APIM swap in a car that already has Sync3/Nav just to get the newer version. Any weird stuff to look out for? Also PM send to Hextall550 about getting just the 2019 APIM :)
  6. SYNC 3 swap, It's all in here

Is there any benefit to replacing a 2017 APIM with one from a 2019 if you already have NAV?
  7. Has anyone with Sync3 Nav successfully updated their maps?

Sorry for the delayed response to some of the questions asked earlier. I used Safari and had no issues with the website or download time. Install took about exactly an hour but worked without issue. I was able to get the map update for free for the wife's 2019 Nautilus which had the NA 1 17...
  8. Has anyone with Sync3 Nav successfully updated their maps?

Hard to say really, but I had the same thought. I know they don't charge you for updates if you have a 2018 or newer (just verified by doing it for the wife's 2019 Lincoln Nautilus). Hoping that means that going forward I won't have to pay but who knows
  9. Has anyone with Sync3 Nav successfully updated their maps?

Sorry to dig up an old thread, but hopefully this helps someone: https://syncnavigation.com/ford/home?fbclid=IwAR0SG20epojhpvspQTi6lZz-7v7gobPRP3uRUe07naG4vbwPNt3ITLtR7-A I just purchased (for $109) the download and updated my 2017 Mustang from NA 15 to NA 18 maps. Download took a bit, near...
  10. Looking to eliminate stock 2.5" midpipe

Just wanted to follow up on this. I did order the MAK Performance catted 3" midpipe kit with the connection for a 3" catback and O2 defoulers. Had it installed today. With my BBK shorties we did have to cut off one of the flanges and reorient it a bit. Lopped off the stepdown section from my...
  11. Looking to eliminate stock 2.5" midpipe

Just to close the loop here, I decided to go with the Mak 3" catted midpipe. I'll modify it as necessary to hook up to my BBK shorties and my 3" magnaflow catback. I'll also run defoulers to make sure I don't get a CEL and don't have to change the tune. This keeps me at least mostly emissions...
  12. Looking to eliminate stock 2.5" midpipe

A good point. Ideally I would like to retain converters but it seems all the aftermarket ones trip CELs. My only concern with the deletes would be if there are any CEL or other issues plus the volume. I know I am weird but I love the way it sounds now with cats. That small midpipe is really...
  13. Looking to eliminate stock 2.5" midpipe

Big thanks to all for your replies and PMs. Sounds like the way to go is the catless 3” midpipe with O2 eliminators or some measure of custom catted midpipe
  14. Looking to eliminate stock 2.5" midpipe

I guess it doesn’t matter much what size it is as I aim to replace it all. Are there better flowing/larger cats that won’t trigger a CEL? Or eliminators on a catless setup that won’t cause issues?
  15. Looking to eliminate stock 2.5" midpipe

As in the interior of the cat is 2.25/2.5"? When you say green cats I assume you're not referring to the ones MAK sells. If these won't cause CELs and are 3" all the way through that might be a good way to go
  16. Looking to eliminate stock 2.5" midpipe

I may have a slightly different situation than most that I'd like some feedback on. I have a Roush phase 2 setup on my 2017 GT with BBK shorty headers which bolt up to the stock catted midpipe which then goes to my 3" magnaflow catback with x pipe. I'd like to eliminate the 2.5" midpipe...
  17. Roush Phase 2 Kit

About to order the Roush Phase 2 upgrade kit for my '17. Seems the price is pretty much the same everywhere, and most places charge sales tax when shipped to WA. Any suggestions on where to buy/not buy? Any deal for forum members?
