First real track day on my 2016 Whippled GT. I recently added a Mishimoto radiator and Reische 170 Thermostat.... I have the upgraded intercooler and dual fans from Whipple on the stage 2 kit, approx 680rwhp @ 9psi.
Never saw CHT's above 215... air temp was in the 70's, very high speed track...
FWIW .... 2016, 105,000 miles, Whipple supercharged... has "ticked" since 5,000 miles or so... always when cold, and occasionally when warm. Hear it the most when cold, mild throttle and a freeway wall along side, or something to reflect the sound back into the car. I drive the wheels off the...
Also.. whats the consensus on fluids..?
In the engine I've run Royal Purple Full Syth since I bought the car. Ford/Motorcraft orange coolant with RedLine Water Wetter, same in the SC intercooler.
I have Motul 660 for the brakes to flush when I install the SS lines and brake cooling ducts...

A few cooling mods are on the way, and we'll see where that gets me. (thanks @ddozier for the details - a few DEI goodies, a Mishi Rad and 170 thermostat are inbound)...
yessir.... some upgrades were already being considered, some may come with time based on feedback at the track and interest to keep doing it. All my prior events have been short courses, so quite a change to start a big track at Willow. We'll see you there.
