I ordered my 2017 there and have used them for servicing and MOT since.
Very helpful when my audio system had a hiccup, and very respectful of the Mustang come service time. The premier Ford dealer in Kent I would say.
Hi Dustin,
My dealer eventually diagnosed that the problem was twofold:
1, There was a wiring loom (heated seats) running up the LHS of the vehicle which was sitting too close to an audio module & this was causing interference with the DAB audio system.
2, The same wiring loom had a dry...
It's interesting that the article from the Police states "must not be altered or replaced in a manner which increases the noise". This would seem to imply that the exhaust can't legally be replaced with a louder version.
I know this is a bit of a moot point, as most Police officers in my...
Hi,
The video shows the white ring, which flies off when the gear lever boot is extracted at 4.29 minutes. He makes a point of explaining that you should put it aside, as you will need it later. On re-assembly, it is shown at 20.58 along with the 'O' ring which sits below it
Cheers
Hi Guys,
Here's another quick update.
After picking up the car on Wednesday evening (22nd Nov) & realising the noisy stereo system hadn't been rectified, I returned the car to Haynes on Thursday 23rd. While I was there, I requested a chat with one of their technicians, in order to explain...
here's a quick update on my noisy audio system.
My last post reported that the original buzzing noise had developed into a much louder crackling noise coming from the speakers when I drove to work one morning. Having had the GT booked into GT101 for a few bits to be done, I phoned Haynes to...
Mine's just developed a really annoying 'jiggedy-jiggedy' noise coming from the rear of the car. It's developed since it was in Haynes having the buzzing/interference noise from the sound system diagnosed last week.
I put a call into them today & reported the sound, because I've got her booked...
Haynes had my Mustang last week for 3 days & they've diagnosed that the interference is being caused by the Audio Control Module. Apparently, it's behind the audio fascia (the part that you feed your CDs into). They think there's a fault with it.
This Module is on back-order from Ford US &...
Haynes have got back to me & admitted that Ford US can't help with any information regarding where this interference might be coming from. It seems like mine is the first one that they've heard that makes this sound.
I must admit, since hearing this from Haynes, I've been dragging my heels...
Manual gearbox very clunky/notchy when changing 1st - 2nd. I find that if I make the 1st - 2nd change a little higher up the rev range than I normally would, the change is a little smoother.
Sometimes though, I'm just pottering about in traffic & I can't seem to get a smooth change without...
I've done some tests too.
The buzzing is evident with the sound system on/off. It's the same with the various inputs USB, FM, DAB, CD etc. I'd say it's much louder when the seats are in the heated position rather than the cooled setting. Mind you, the cooled setting runs the fans so the...
Hi PeterE,
The buzzing is audible with the stereo switched on or off, it makes no difference. I'll check if it's affected by input source later today. I usually have the radio on the DAB input, but it's fair comment to try the other available inputs.
One thing I think it has done on its own...
Hi guys, it's been a while.
My Mustang is now 3 months old & my supplying dealer Haynes has been kind enough to offer a 3-month courtesy check-over, which I had done yesterday.
There were a few items on my list of things that could do with sorting; the oil level was showing a slightly low...
Hi guys,
I've had my Mustang for a week now & I've just had chance over the weekend to clean her properly. One thing I've noticed is the silver custom pack wheels have been painted black on the inside faces. They look to have been masked-up fairly well & sprayed on their inside.
Has anybody...
Hi there,
Just got back from Haynes after having my first look at our LB Mustang GT & I love it!
Haynes are happy to fit my Stow & Show for no extra cost & I've taken the number plate mountings away with me so they can't be fitted (thanks @LoneSurvivor for the tip). I've also taken the...
I thought I'd resurrect this thread, as we were lucky enough to be invited on the Saturday morning. We had a test drive booked for both of us & managed to be allocated Andy Barratt's own personal GT (the same car that was on Top Gear racing the RS Focus). Andy is a lovely guy who's passionate...
Just had a call from Haynes. My Mustang is now on these shores & heading to the dealership. Because of work/life commitments, I can't see her until next Wednesday. I've requested that all the wrappings are left on & she's not cleaned at all. I want to see her just as she is & take the wrappings...
Was photographed as part of a photo shoot we did for Classic American Magazine. You can just see the missus driving, partially obscured by the reflection of trees in the windscreen.
Here you go, here's the '64 1/2 coupe that we've owned for the last 15 years or so. Painted & refurbished a few years ago in the original black/black. She actually belongs to the missus but I get to drive her occasionally!
Cheers,
Adrian
