So my AC was starting to get a whining sound as well. All I did was refill the refrigerant and the sound disappeared. Some refill kits come with a gauge and thats what told me it was running low.
The swaybar endlinks tend to bend over time. Wondering if you can tell if they are bent. I've replaced mine due to a clunking noise as well, if I remember correctly I had the same exact symptoms you mentioned when going over bumps. This video best explains it plus shows how to replace.
Antigravity ATX-20-HD 900CA, comes with a 3D printed battery tray and battery post adapters. Installed it for about 2 months but may need to sell the car. Figured I get some money back if I barely use this. Prefer local pick up since shipping lithium tends to be a hassle.
Yeah, this was the first time I heard about this type of testing. Was not very convinced when they told me all was good based off this test. It like a quick way to test compression and felt very lazy.
I believe they have done a relative compression test and said all cylinders look even (this was a while back). As far as pulling out the spark plugs I don't think they have done that. Let alone used a scope to take a look at the cylinder. Honestly I have no clue why they don't take a look...
This is more or less the Master Tech's explanation on why I am burning oil. I can actually live with it as I've owned a rotary motor in the past and am used to checking my oil often. In fact when I did my first oil consumption test I was burning about a quart every 500 miles. They even...
So a quick updated. Dealership says it's normal again. I topped off my oil and it looks as though it went 300miles for a full quart. They are supposed to bring some sort of engineer to look at it, but will have to wait for a call from the dealership. Really frustrating because it's...
Wow, that’s disappointing to hear. Thats the unintended consequence for Ford paying a lower warranty rate. I can say their shop is always busy so I can see why they would not want this car in their shop. Maybe I should have taken this car elsewhere. Thanks and I appreciate the insight.
Yes, I did actually escalate to Ford corporate so they gave me a case ID. It's currently in the dealership so not sure what will happen next. They are still diagnosing the issue and they cant seem to figure out the reason for the high oil consumption. Maybe you are right and I should have...
Hi guys wanted your feedback on my 2016 GT350. Currently has about 30K, runs great and does not throw any codes. I always make sure the cars oil is warmed up before revving it too high. However it does burn about a quart of oil every 300 to 400 miles. It's a daily driver with a mix of street...
If it's not too much of a hassle can you take a photo of your wheel and tires. Would like to see how it looks on the stock rims. I might actually do this myself.
Was looking into replacing spark plugs as I have just hit the 30K mark. I know that the Ford recommends them to be replaced every 100K but figured it doesn't hurt to replace sooner. I was leaning on going OEM (Motocraft) but was curious if you guys have any recommendations on any other spark...
