Ended up going with the Camaro myself, did the 20% plus a little more from the dealer. Both are awesome cars. . . the Ford was even more practical and comfortable, but for my last ICE car, went with what wowed me the most. . .
As I said in the original post, I'm currently driving a '16 EB Premium, so I know and appreciate the capacity of the EB, although I haven't driven an EB MT yet. Since I feel the chassis on the Mustang is heavier than most cars I've driven (BMW and corvette), I think I'm leaning towards the GT...
Interesting AM, why did you choose the 'Stang over the SS? As I drive each one more, I appreciate some of the nuances of each. The stang seems to be a more comfortable reasonable DD, and the Camaro seems more of a track weapon. Since it'll be my DD, and I have a teenaged daughter to stuff in...
I'm cross-shopping the two as well. The 2SS has whopping power. I've been driving GTs for the past couple days, and I swung by Chevy and drove it again. Seriously, I kinda scared myself. The Mustang has a more reserved, smoother ride, but the ferocious acceleration and better handling of the...
Whatcha think, would you guys buy a car with this damage to the clear coat? Salesguy says "it'll buff right out", obviously I'll check if I pursue it, but it doesn't look like the paint is damaged, only the clearcoat. . .
Has anyone on the west coast gotten $40k or near OTD on a Vert GT Premium? Found one pretty much stripped on a lot, new, with 100 miles on it (I don't think I care about that, should I?) We're about $3-4k apart right now, but I'm holdin' out. . .
As I mentioned in the original, I currently have a rental EB Auto droptop, so I'm aware of the power differences, I just wanted a MT, so I've been looking around. I drove through downtown LA today with the auto, and kept thinking how much MORE it would suck with a stick, but I usually try to...
I'm in San Diego, Ca, and just starting to look for a '16 Convertible GT Prem with Manual tranny. Not a ton around here with a stick, but I've found a couple in the low-to-mid $40's. I need a '16 for the 0% deal.
I'd prefer Lightning Blue, or Ingot Silver, but haven't found them yet in a...
Lol, thanks guys, covers most of the stereotypes and legit issues. The booty-coolers/warmers are really why I want the premium. I'm currently in a '16 EB premium, (wife's new Jag is in the shop, the 'stang is a rental, and I love it) and the seats are way more comfy than my M228i Gran Coupe...
:paddle:Haha, I did that with my Corvette a few years back, that went over really well. . .
Finances are a concern, but the delta between a V8 and the EB isn't huge, although I'd have to get a pretty stripped-down GT. Believe it or not, one of the most important things to me is cooled seats...
Lol, yeah, I expected these responses. When I see a 'Stang, I tend to roll down my window to see if I can hear the V8 growl. . .
And then the suspension mods, sigh. . . Need to develop my "its only money" speech to the wifey, who is not on board. . . .
