You guys are more committed than I am. I had the rattle and believe the beginning of the tick. That combined with the potential transmission issues led me to just trading it in on a 19 1SS manual Camaro. Chevy offers an additional $2k rebate for mustang owners (if you ask for it). Lost a bit...
Believe me I have been. It looks like the MT6 LT1 is pretty solid. I would rather keep the mustang as I prefer the styling and just like mustangs in general as I have owned several. I also had a 2017 2SS and it just dosen't have the vibe that the S500 does. Honestly I wish I had kept the...
So I managed to work out a deal on a 2019 base 1 SS for $31200 using the mustang conquest. I will loose $5k by trading my nearly new mustang but this rattle has me worried. Plus I hate having a new car that makes this kind of noises. Even if I managed to get the issue recognized and a buy...
Good luck, it will be interesting to see what they come back with. Obviously the poll in this thread is a small sample base compared to the total number of cars sold but ~60% with the issue is pretty significant. I wonder how many of the ~40% that don’t have it actually have a very mid case...
It was taken when Cold. It is much harder to heard when warmed up. I just had the oil changed and have not noticed a change in the volume of the noise. I am not really worried about it at this point other than hold off on any real mods for now.
still working to get a good video/sound clip. it is much louder when the engine is just warming up. One new thing that I noticed is when backing into the garage with the window down is that I can hear it very well at idle rpm. Essentially I am just letting the clutch partially out and idling...
I have a 2019 with 700 miles and a very similar noise to @mvfjet around 2-3k at light throttle. It is barely noticable over the road noise. As of now I do not have any noises at idle or mid throttle. I am going to get the oil changed at the end of the week so we shall see if it gets any...
I just noticed the grinding noise when letting the clutch out over 5k rpm. I just got my 2019 GT (September 18 build) still going easy on it for the first 1k miles and decided to run it just above 5k on a 2nd to 3rd at less than 1/2 throttle and heard the grind when letting the clutch out. I...
They updated the MT82 for the 2018 refresh:

I feel that the updated MT82 (MT82-D4) seems to feel better that the one my 2016 had but that could be the new...
Just picked up a 2019 GT built 9/18. I hope they updated the transmission before my build date!
I had a 2016 GT and the new MT82 feels better to me but I had a few cars between the two. Sounds like the latest build date with a failure was 5/18?
They may have needed to fine tune the maf scaling for your cai. Even though I had the airaid no tune required. The maf scaling still needed adjustment for it to read properly. If it wasn't for this thread I would not have thought to get this corrected.
