  1. Estimate the 2019 GT500’s HP. *Poll*

This can't be right. We need to wait for announcement from Ford. But anything over 3,900lbs and/or less than 700hp is going to be a disappointment. In my opinion, the car needs to have at least 50-75hp more than the prior GT500 and be under 3,900lbs for it to out-perform the competition.
  2. Transmission, Diff, Brake Oil and Fluid ! (Track Use) + Updates

Ideally you should bleed the brakes after each track event. If you're not hard on the brakes, you can stretch it out to every 3 track days or so. I would definitely recommend Castrol SRF. Also, please keep us posted on the R888R tires. I'd love to know how much faster those are than the Cup...
  3. GT350 Tow Hook

I should have taken pics, but YES, I have. I've winched the car on and and off the trailer with no problem using the front ZL1 tow hook. Zero problems whatsoever.
  4. Sport Cup 2 Tire life

Anyone consider switching over to the Toyo R888R's? It might possibly be a better HDPE tire, and it might even last longer. Looking at the specs, the R888R 305's are about as wide as the Cup 2 315's. A square 305 setup would probably work well on any GT350 or GT350R.
  5. Those tracking your GT350

Is there a way to use the Schroth QuickFit harness in an R model? After all, there is no back seat and thus no rear seat belts to plug into.
  6. 1st gear popping out

Interesting... my car does the same thing every once in a while. (2016 GT350R). Anyone else??
  7. My GT350 after headers, intake, tune and E85 dyno results

Dyno results should be SAE corrected only. Not STD, not extrapolated flywheel power, and not anything else. Keep it SAE and not some fake over-inflated number. The numbers on this thread are meaningless.
  8. Anyone have the full ARH system? Where are the videos?! **Updated with videos***

I typically prefer American Racing headers to Kooks, but for this application (GT350), I think there might be an advantage with the Kooks since it's a stepped header. I also know some reputable tuners that prefer the Kooks for this car. I would be very interested in getting an opinion from a...
  9. GT350R-Miles since taking delivery

Oh my bad... I was going by the title in the thread.
  10. GT350R-Miles since taking delivery

Why are the coolers on your R not good enough?
  11. Moving battery to Spare Tire Location.

That's because it's a tiny battery with only 390 cold cranking amps. It's actually undersized to save weight.
  12. Moving battery to Spare Tire Location.

I weighed mine. Stock battery is 28 lbs.
  13. Can I give my track attack day to someone else?

I'm scheduled on Oct 23-24 for the 2 day event, but I may not be able to make it that weekend either. I'm looking to switch with someone who is registered for one of the early October classes. I already talked to the Track Attack guys and they said if someone wants to swap classes they're okay...
  14. Stupid high oil temps - GT350R

Yeah, I really don't feel comfortable with oil temps that high though. I wouldn't be surprised if I saw 300+ at the track since I'm able to get up to 275 degrees on the street. That's just ridiculous.
  15. Stupid high oil temps - GT350R

I didn't study the oil pressure closely, but it looked to be about 30psi at idle. It could have been less. It's hard to tell since there's no digital gauge. What's important is that the oil pressure still went up when applying a bit of throttle. And why in the world don't these cars have a...
  16. Stupid high oil temps - GT350R

I know there's a bunch of oil temp threads on here already, but I wanted to start my own so this doesn't get lost in the "noise." I have a 2016 GT350R, and I took the car into the canyons to see what this thing can really do. By way of background, I've been tracking cars for years, and I...
  17. Track Pad Compounds

Can you get Raybestos ST43 for this car?
  18. Project 6GR Wheels S550 Mustang, Shelby GT350, GT500

Yes, you're absolutely right. I think you have an excellent product for the price, but I needed to know the weights as I'm looking for a 2nd set of wheels for the track. This information will probably be useful to others as well.
  19. Project 6GR Wheels S550 Mustang, Shelby GT350, GT500

Ah, yes, how did I miss post #679? Here's the info: R Spec Sizes 19x11 ET 24: 27.35 lbs 19x11.5 ET 56: 24.7 lbs According to Ford, GT350R OEM wheels weigh 18lbs each. So the R-spec forged wheels are 32lbs heavier as a complete set. That's the info I was trying to find.
