  1. R Spec wheels with 325s

I noticed the 315 Cup 2 tires are 11.7 inch tread and the 4S 305's are 11.5 inch tread. Both the 295 and 305 30 19's are wider treads that the PSS in 295/305 19. I am thinking go 295/305 in the 4S or go 305 square. 295 is 11.1 inch tread
  2. Noob questions. 16 vs 17

Long time BMW guy and M owner as well. I bought the 16 350 and the car is everything you loved about the M cars and more! I did buy tech pack and was concerned with the cooler issue, so I traded and just took delivery of the 1 2018 that my local dealer is getting. Awesome car! This blows away...
  3. No more GT350 after 2018??? Get one while you can.

I came from a long history with BMWs. Had last 3 gen of M3, M roadster and a Z4 35is. Lot of track exp with M cars. I bought a 2016 350 and the car is amazing. I love everything about it, and have had no issues at all. The look, sound, steering, brakes and general feel along with price make it...
  4. Square Set-up Or No?

thanks for the input. I will probably go PSS4 305 30-19 square, agree the 325 just look a little too big. . One follow up, how much difference does it make with the speedometer if any? If so, did anyone reprogram for the change in tire diameter? Thx
  5. Square Set-up Or No?

I switched to the project 6GR R spec wheels. When time for new tires, PS4, would folks go 305 30-19 square or 325 Rear and 305 Front? Mostly street driving. Probably going to switch P51 wheels when get new tires since 21 lbs each Thx
  6. Car History Poll

Never owned a Ford either. Bought my daughter a 2010 Mustang, her dream car at the time. Now my son drives it and got her a 2015 V6. I have been a BMW guy, but loved the new Mustang Body style. Was set to get M4 or M2 until I saw the GT 350 videos on the Ring and started reading about it. Could...
  7. The GT350s place in the 2018 Model Year

I am new to Mustang. Went with the Gt 350 because I liked the design and for the price did everything as good or better than the M3's I had in the past. I am not interested in a muscle car, and the 350 is an amazing sports/GT car. I know 0-60 times are great for bragging rights, but clearly...
  8. Back-to-Back Driving Comparison of E92 M3 and GT350

Long time BMW guy. Owned E36, E46 and E92 M3, all MT. Drove E92 on the ring F1 track and Nordschleife, at the M school prior to production of E92. Was all set for the M4 until the 350 came out. The E92 felt more nimble than the E 46, but neither approached the handling of the E36, just too...
  9. Shelby GT350 Mustang Owners File New Class Action Lawsuit Against Ford for Fraud

I would like to see the "literature" that I should have been given up front that said YOU CANNOT TRACK THE TECH PACKAGE CARS, THE TRANS WILL OVERHEAT!!! You can add tech goodies to BMW M cars and 911's if you want some comforts in a car you can track now and then. I guess I figured the track...
  10. Shelby GT350 Mustang Owners File New Class Action Lawsuit Against Ford for Fraud

I love the car. Came over from the last 3 generations of M3, and was set to get the new M4 when I saw the early videos of this on the ring. I really liked the look of the new Mustang and as more info trickled out I called my local dealer and he gave me first refusal on one of the 2 he was...
  11. Shelby GT350 Mustang Owners File New Class Action Lawsuit Against Ford for Fraud

If you want to be an M4 or a 911, and you market it that way, make the damn car track worthy, all variations! Oh yea, you did for 2017 which proves the point all the base and tech folks are making. Like my prior M cars I mainly street drive with an occasional track day. I should not have had...
  12. Shelby GT350 Mustang Owners File New Class Action Lawsuit Against Ford for Fraud

Interesting. I came over from many years driving the last 3 generations of M3. I liked the look of the Mustang and after reading everything ordered the 350 in spring 2015 and took delivery Apr 2016. I got tech pack because I wanted all the features, and I planned to only track occasionally like...
  13. Michelin PS4S mounted on gloss black Project 6GR R-Specs

Have the R spec 6GR wheels. Run 305 30-19 square set up or 325 30-19 rear and 305 Front. Opinions? I have plenty of tread on the stock PSS so going to use those until I need tires Thx
  14. New tires

Bought the R Spec Project 6GR wheels for the 350. Decided to put new tires on these wheels instead of swapping out the PSS. Was going to put Cup 2 tires on with 315 rear and 305 front, but thought I might wait and put the new Pilot Sport 4S on. Tire Rack says the 4S will not come in 315, so...
  15. Official GT350 Track Attack Attendance Thread

    I'm waiting too!
  16. 6MT vs Dual Clutch

LOL, agree, it was a bad transmission! I liked the E36 M3 gearbox the best
  17. 6MT vs Dual Clutch

Have owned and driven several generations of M3 on street and track. My last BMW was a Z4 35is with 7 sp DCT having come from the E92 M3 with 6 sp Man. To me cannot beat the DCT, PDK on a race track. The fast up and downshifts, and the fact all you have to do is brake and accelerate make for...
  18. Oil question

I know this has been discussed, just wanted to get some feedback. I only have 2600 miles on the car, have had it since last May. No issues. As others have said, when I check the oil there is almost nothing on the dipstick when I pull it out other than some wisps. I tried this morning and it had...
  19. I am Done with My GT 350 !!

My 2 cents. Long time BMW guy. Had the last 3 gen of M3. Was all set for M4 or M2 until I saw this thing testing on the ring. Sure the M4 is a little more polished, esp the interior. But, I happen to like the look of the Shelby, as does everyone who sees it. This car feels, handles, brakes very...
  20. Why did you pick a Shelby?

Previous owner of several generations of M3. I like the S550 body style, and when I saw the 350 testing on the ring and read about it, I ordered one sight unseen from local dealer. I must say I am not disappointed. Everything about the car is equal or exceeds the M cars. Agile, feels lighter...
