  1. Coolant and Oil Consumption

Yup, gotta swap the motor to stop a heater core leak.
  2. Coolant and Oil Consumption

Except I'm not a new S550 owner, wasn't freaking out, and literally said the oil consumption normally wouldn't even concern me if I wasn't also losing so much coolant. You wanna read a bit slower and not jump on someone's ass so quick? I was using the warranty, Ford was just not figuring out...
  3. Coolant and Oil Consumption

Sorry, I did neglect updating this thread... Diagnosis from dealer was a leak at the heater core, which they replaced. I'll need to put more miles on to see if that was truly the issues
  4. Coolant and Oil Consumption

Thanks. I'll see to asking this, since I don't think they have.
  5. Coolant and Oil Consumption

Hey all. 2018 GT base with no engine mods. 9,900 current miles. I'm consuming coolant from full to a few inches under the minimum line in ~2500 miles. The car has been refilled with coolant 4 times, 3 times by a Ford dealership. No signs of leaking anywhere. Oil is being consumed at about 1...
  6. Cervinis C-Series Grilles 2018-up (Did you install the brackets?)

I have a base GT, so I had the shutter system and removed it. If you decide to put the brackets on, best of luck to you. The AmericanMuscle install video ended up being the set of instructions that I used to install the bracket, and it was different than CJ Pony Parts and Cervini's instructions.
  7. Cervinis C-Series Grilles 2018-up (Did you install the brackets?)

Installed mine with the latest version of the support bracket (came with my lower grille). It made installing the bumper cover back in a massive pain in the butt, since the brackets weren't lining everything up right. Ended up removing the bumper cover and splash guard and reinstalling...
  8. Painted Interior - No more chrome (mostly)

I bet that'd look pretty sweet. I used Rust-Oleum metallic for the undercoat and Rust-Oleum crystal clear enamel for the clear coat. Undercoat laid nice and flat, clear coat was finicky at times and wanted to run.
  9. Painted Interior - No more chrome (mostly)

I took some risk and went the rattle can route. Heavy traffic areas like the cup holders and door handles got extra coats of clear to help hold up. If you do it, let us know how it turns out!
  10. Painted Interior - No more chrome (mostly)

Thanks! Everything was broken down and sprayed outside of the car. Good eye on the button! I'm honestly afraid to paint it since it gets so much use being pushed in. Even the stock finish is already showing wear marks, so I'm not sure paint would hold up. Might try dipping it black or something...
  11. Painted Interior - No more chrome (mostly)

Decided I didn't like the look of the chrome in my 2018 anymore, so I sprayed it with some aged copper paint. Think it looks great in combination with the lightning blue exterior! Biggest down side is that I now have to get a new shift knob. Any recommendations on blue knobs?
  12. Konig Ampliforms - 20x9.5 +35 and 20x11 +50

I don't mean to bad mouth the seller I used, since they were very pleasant to deal with at all times; with that said, they were not the most reliable source of information regarding fitment. They mentioned that a 20x11 +50 would most likely rub, and that it'd be better to go down to possibly a...
  13. Konig Ampliforms - 20x9.5 +35 and 20x11 +50

Yeah, it was a package from Fitment Industries. The Nitto NT555 G2s are doing well. No problems with the wheels getting squirrelly on me, but I haven't had a ton of opportunity to really push them either. Haven't really noticed any excessive road noise from them. All in all I'm happy, but...
  14. Konig Ampliforms - 20x9.5 +35 and 20x11 +50

Thanks! Sorry, don't know the weight. I'll be pulling them off to paint my calipers soon, so they'll get weighed them hopefully. No spacers in front or back.
  15. who's lowered with 305 35 20's?

    1.2" front, 0.5" rear.
  16. Konig Ampliforms - 20x9.5 +35 and 20x11 +50

Picked up a set of Konig Ampliforms and am very happy with them. Was a bit hesitant to be another blue car with a set of black wheels, but they're actually metallic with a good amount of blue fleck in them. Didn't see any other pictures on here with these wheels, so in case anyone was ever...
  17. who's lowered with 305 35 20's?

Put on 20x11 +50 with 305/35 on the rear. No spacers, sits very flush. Combined this with BMR performance springs, which have a 1/2 inch drop or so. Went with -2 camber just to be safe with rubbing on hard bumps....
  18. LIGHTNING BLUE S550 MUSTANG Thread

Taking this was a pain, since it's a one way, single lane entrance to a busy parking lot. Had to run and jump back into the car to move out of the way a few times... Feel like it was worth it though!
  19. Favorite Soap for Foaming

Thanks everyone! I'll do my research on these and go from there. I appreciate the suggestions.
  20. Favorite Soap for Foaming

Hey everyone, Like many others, a part of my wash routine includes foaming the car. I've tried a few different offerings from Chemical Guys, but I'm running into an issue with the drying phase. I want to start using a leaf blower to dry, but the Chemical Guys soaps I use make the water cling...
