I cut mine off with a cutoff saw, then used heat shrink (black) to cover the raw edge and hold the tip on. Too ten minutes at most, works fine. Your mileage may vary.

Road Dog: yeah 'cept everything on an airplane costs like a 12X multiple. Re-striping the airplane 5 years ago was $5K and I helped strip it (and stripe it) and got a "deal" (for $5K). :frusty:

Yup, a little body work, paint and back in business. "It is, what it is". Was still a great weekend. Been better if I hadn't been fighting post flu bronchitis but again "it is....well you know".
