Here is a white GT350 for you .
Interesting story on this car. It is owned by the trust set up by Brian Jackson of Barret Jackson fame. The beneficiaries of the trust are Jackson's kids. Carroll Shelby wrote a note to each kid on either side of the car. How valuable do you suppose this car...
Speed on short course going into 7 depends on hp obviously but also how fast you exit the carousel. I seriously doubt any street Gt350 would hit 150 mph and still be able to make turn 7. The best driven GT3's I've seen don't hit that kind of pace. I can believe 135 or so. Now if you are...
Hi Scott, I'll look out for you. We can compare impressions of the car. And for those of you on this forum who are interested in tracking your Mustangs, Chin Motorsports offers DE track days at a bunch of tracks around the country. I've been participating with their events for several years...
My fastest lap ever is a 2:32 in cooler time of year with some pro coaching. If the GT350R is as fast as the well driven 997 GT3's with whom I run, it should do a 2:20 give or take a few seconds. Absolutely I'll report back!
I'll be sure to report back, and am quite sure the Gt350 will be significantly faster than my Boxster S. My bet is I could run with the fast driven GT3's with a GT350 R. Here is a couple laps at Sebring of me chasing some Mustangs. I caught one, but never could catch the other guy.

Ha ha. I can't fly under the radar with Boxzilla. Too bad about your Boxster. I did the same in a BMW Spec E30. I apexed early in turn 16 at Sebring, over corrected and spun into the inside concrete wall at probably 50 mph. It shook me up, and the car was toast, but thanks to the safety...
No the deal is at MSRP. I ordered it earlier in the spring when it became clear I was out of luck on getting a GT4. I've ordered the car in GT Silver with red leather interior. This is a pic of a similar car seen in Europe.
Once I got to an advanced driving level, I elected to go to dedicated track car. This is a picture of that car. I mostly track at Sebring, however I chose this picture taken under the bridge at Road Atlanta because it is appropriate to your question. Sadly a DE participant lost his life at...
Good info, thanks. I'll just wait my turn. In the meantime, I'll enjoy my new Spyder which should be delivered next month. 375 hp Carrera S engine, and only 2800 lbs. should be a hoot!
Yes it is the Track Tour, and I'll be there at Sebring Raceway October 13. I've done hundreds of laps at this track, and am excited to see how this car performs. And as to your other point, about SA being uninformed, that seems accurate. Prior to telling me his dealer wanted $20k extra for...
Not sure what it's called, but that sounds right. All I know is that Ford sent this invitation to those of us who belong to the Florida chapter that I belong to of both Porsche Club of America, and Porsche/BMW Owners Club. I know this from hearing from other friends of mine who drive on the...
I have accepted an invitation to test drive the GT350 at Sebring Raceway next month. A salesman from a local dealer told me that invitees to these type events are typically offered an allocation. I'm a long time Porsche guy, and am unfamiliar with how these special vehicle allocations are...
I have 4 square 275's on my Boxster track car. That probably contributes to my lack of under steer also, although some of my pro coaches have suggested going away from this approach.
My Boxster S track car doesn't under steer at all. I have -3 camber in the front wheels so that helps. My point is the GT4 with a similar chassis can easily be tuned to neutral handling like my car.
I've met Randy at the track. Not only is he an amazing driver, but one of the nicest guys you...
Among the Porsche driving enthusiasts with whom I interact, very few are "Porsche snobs". As a matter of fact there has been a fair amount of discussion about this Mustang on the Rennlist Porsche forum, the vast majority being very positive. One guy posted some snobbish comment about it just...
I am a member of PCA and PBOC driving club. It is my understanding that Ford requested the mailing lists from our clubs for a targeted invitation, as a number of my friends from these clubs reported receiving the invitation.
