The 285 is 28inch tall but only 11.5 wide. Where as the 305 is 12.3 wide but only 27.4 tall. I'd have to run a 10inch wide wheel to get the full width on the 305. Is it worth the cost?

The exhaust work was done later, for the stock air box/AEM filter run (best run). 2 tens and 2mph faster with cat delete and borla-x 2.5 inch. 15-20 HP gain. I flashed the brenspeed tune back in this afternoon and drove shitty for awhile. I think I'm liking it better than the steeda now...

I never got any feed back on your post. Just happened to re-read this thread. I'm still using the stock headers. And your description of the steeda tune is spot on.

I used this intake for 3 months. The blue in the filter disappeared but otherwise its in perfect shape. I'm keeping the firewall sound tube delete plug and the ram air plug. Basic plugs from an auto parts store.

I've messaged steeda 47,000 times about this. Received a tune that wouldn't work. Brend speed, Lund...one call done. Steeda tune just has the best shift points, mpg, driveability for daily driving so I'd like to keep using it.

Yeah I've ran all the combos. Steeda insert out 12.91, insert in 12.73, never ran at the track with k&n cai. I could tell on the street that the low end still wasn't as good as the stock air box but I was better than than steeda (no longer had that stumble when I launched). As of 2 weeks ago...

Another curious thing I noticed after the exhaust changes. The car reacts slower now. My reaction times are usually .150-.200 when I race. This time every pass was a .300 average. I had to hit the light at the very beginning of the 3rd yellow.

Good info thanks! Old school converters above 3500k became unstreetable but these electronics are slick. I'll call lund tomorrow and see how much he can loosen up the stock converter and maybe throw the small tube k&n back on and get it custom tuned.

Nice job! I'm impressed. I was going to try lund next. How do you like the stall? Ive loved them in my Capri&bronco but not sure on the mustang as a daily driver.

K&N 63-2590 their are a few. Like the one you heard advertised without needing a tune...steeda.
