  1. Anyone break a 10 rib belt on a whipple?

Thanks for all the info! I think I will give the 6 rib and the PBD brace a shot before buying the 10 rib set up. Sounds like maybe the flexing in the altenator could be the source. F1scamp are you running the original belt routing or the updated one with shorter belt? The belt I broke was with...
  2. Anyone break a 10 rib belt on a whipple?

I went to the track this weekend with the addition of my msd 2 step. Ran a new pb of 10.51 with a 1.5 60'. The good is I actually won my first race of eliminations. The bad is on my second pass of eliminations I snapped the 6 rib belt on the 2-3 shift. I was told this was probably do to adding...
  3. Anyone with whipple regret leaving whipple tune for Lund or PBD?

I just finished data logging for my PBD tune. I ran the Whipple tune for last couple years and had absolutely no complaints. Car ran good and made good power, running as fast as 10.63 and putting down 705 rwhp. The only reason I swapped was the mt82 let go and their tune wouldn't support a...
  4. Whipple Track Results - Little Let Down

I'm running consistently 10.7xx @132-134 mph with a 1.5x 60ft on pretty much same setup. I usually add a can of octanium when headed to track. I have the Steeda stop the hop package, their linear springs, viking rear shocks, Whipple tune and 3.625" pulley. I am however running on hoosier bias...
  5. Strongest driveshaft?

So I got the new CF driveshaft in this week and headed to the track yesterday. I will say that the CF shaft is much "quieter" then the aluminum. Unfortunately, I now have a vibration to work out. On two of the passes I made I had every dash light regarding advance track and traction control come...
  6. Strongest driveshaft?

When I spoke to them they were adamant that the 4" shaft would resolve any breakage issues. It seems that most issues people were having were on the 3.5" shafts.
  7. Strongest driveshaft?

Yes, I'm running the Steeda black diff inserts. I spoke with DSS and they are going to replace the driveshaft. (gotta love a company that stands behind their products!) Apparently I had one of the 3.5" first versions they produced. They have since replaced it with the 4" tube. I am going to pay...
  8. Strongest driveshaft?

The aluminum tube came apart. I reached out to DSS and they are looking into replacing it under warranty for me. Hopefully they will let me pay the difference to upgrade to CF driveshaft.
  9. Strongest driveshaft?

I was at the track on Saturday evening and my aluminum 3.5" DSS driveshaft let go and blew into about 80 pieces or so. (Thank you BMR for a safety loop that helped contain the mess.) So my question is what is the strongest drive shaft on the market? This one only made it for 20 passes and...

  12. Anyone Running 10's stock Whipple tune

No, I swapped them out at the same time as the Whipple install. Yes, I'm running the 3:31's with Torsen diff.
  13. Anyone Running 10's stock Whipple tune

Running 93 with octanium. Mt82 with 3:31 gears and 3.625 pulley. I've run 10.63 @ 129mph with a 1.62 60'. Been through traps @134mph and cut a 1.50 60'. Now if I can just get it all to happen on same run I think a 10.40 is possible on Whipple tune.
  14. Steeda adjustable camber arms hitting floor :|

I had the same problem with the early style. The guys at Steeda took care of me with the new style arms and haven't had an issue since. Wait until you feel the difference once you swap them out!!

  17. P0420 CEL with Kooks LT headers and Green Cats

I actually put them on the mid pipe first. Looking at it now, I believe you will have to drop it though.
  18. P0420 CEL with Kooks LT headers and Green Cats

Sorry about that, I should've been more clear. This is running the big daddies angled cel fix adapters. I never ran without them to see if it throws a code.

I've had them on for 4000 miles and no cel yet. Running Kooks with high flow cats.
  20. Issue running slicks

I know exactly what your talking about. I went to the track for the first time a couple weeks ago. I put my Hoosiers on the back (12psi) with 275/35/20 Invo's on the front. My first impression was wow these hook good, then I got to 1/8 and thought I was going to be a you tube video!! By the 8th...
