Not sure if this is a dumb Q, but is this ok for the car's health? I have the hellion sleeper kit hooked up to a Corsa sport catback exhaust. When I downshift after acceleration it pops fairly aggressively, especially if I lightly tap the pedal a few times. After WOT if I decelerate and let the...
Hellion doesn't really have "sales" so I wouldn't be surprised if it's same normal price on the website. You may however be able to get a few hundred off from a vendor (ex. Hellhorse). I did this same thing for my 2015 GT a few months ago. Just be prepared to spend $$ on things other than the...
Here's the kit on a 2015 GT, stock ride height. I have never personally scraped, but I can't really recommend this kit for lowered cars. Or if it is lowered, just be careful.
Hellion, can you tell me more about this hi-flow cat option? Is it available for 15-17 as well? One of my pet peeves with the car is the strong gas smell.
Thanks
I have the base cast 62 turbos with the BB upgrade. I saw too many examples online of turbo failure with the JB precision turbos, and like you I didn't want to shell out that much $ for the BB precision turbos. I have a 2015 GT auto and I'm running FIC 1000cc injectors w/ a JMS BAP.
A few...
Selling my 20” OEM Bright Machined Aluminum Foundry wheels. Takeoffs from my car with ~20,000 very well taken care of miles. These wheels were a factory option for GT or ecoboost premium models, but will fit all models (V6, V8, ecoboost).
The wheels are in good condition. I have up close...
The tires are 265/35/20 front (20x10 wheel) and 305/30/20 rear (20x11 wheel). The tires are Pilot Sport 4S. I spent hours researching tires and these appear to be the best option for grip if you see rain frequently.
UPDATE: Well, went with #2 (VFF 107). I got a pretty good price for them from Vibe Motorsports. I had a scheduled time for my twin turbo install and had to get a set of wheels fast, so these were the ones I ended up with due to their design/availability/price.
Set #1 seem to boring (although...
Asking $275 shipped (US). If you want to meet me in Bradenton/Sarasota, FL I can do $250 picked up.
Best tuning device on the market! Comes with OBD2 cable and SD card. All you have to do is purchase a tune from Lund and they’ll unlock the device for you. Only used it for ~6months so it's in...
Which set would look best on an oxford white GT? (Labeled 1-6)
They are going to be 20 inch wheels, all near the same weight and relatively close in price. Give me your opinion please!
#1: Project 6GR 7-SEVEN (Gloss Graphite)
#2: Vorsteiner VFF 107 (Carbon Graphite)
#3: Forgestar F14 (Bronze...
Created a rendering of what these could possibly look like after the swap from OEM 20s. Still unsure about the design, although after hours of research I can verify it is a pretty good quality wheel company and the finish would look good.
What do you mean by cleaning tools? I’ve never heard of...
I think the finish perfectly complements Oxford white, especially the white inlays on the center caps.
I was hoping someone who owns Vorsteiner’s could chyme in, I feel like the carbon graphite is a nice finish that would hold dirt relatively well
Haha I kinda figured, these don't ship into the USA until this Monday. I can get them for $300 off retail (presale) if I decide by Monday and I'm having a really hard time making this decision lol. I just don't want TOO much attention for having crazy wheels. The cleaning thing I can get over...
That’s a good point, didn’t really think about that... maybe ceramic coating would help keep them clean?
As far as the wheel design, do you think it’s “too much”? I was originally going to get the VS forged vs07 wheels until I found out they’d take around 12 weeks to be delivered...
I called the manufacturer today and they only weigh ~25lbs per wheel (24.5 lbs/25.7 lbs I believe is what he said) despite a pretty involved wheel face.
What are your thoughts? Too busy looking maybe? I enjoy European auto culture (which is what these remind me of), but would these look...
Digging this thread up from the grave for a question. Currently running the OEM foundry 20 inch wheels with Michelin PS4S 265/35/20’s all the way around.
I just bought a TT system which is getting put on the car next month. Didn’t budget for the wheels I want (VS forged), so in the short term...
