Question, how do you remove the seat cover? I tried to do this on my mustang and have the cooling mod but when i tried it felt like there was something holding it to the foam and didnt want to rip or damage the foam when i pulled up to roll it up.
Isnt the problem because the stock balancer is balanced at 7000 rpm and when you go above that rpm then the stock balancer starts to resonate and the OPG gears cant take that stress? I would think that doing the balancer would net the same results am i wrong? Ive been wondering what route i want...
Wondering on doing this myself. Anyone care to input on the loudness compared to a roush axle back and xpipe? This is my current combo and i love how fucking loud it is, but the rasp is too much. Im thinking of doing this if it keeps the loudness but dampens the rasp.
Remember, this is FLEET average. Not all models have to meet this standard. So if they pump out a shit load of ecoboosts with high MPG they can keep a V8 in some form.
anyone find anything on the backup camera distance lines being turned on or off? I brought my car to the dealer a month or so ago and they replaced my camera but didnt turn the lines back on. Im too lazy to bring it back and deal with their BS so thought id see if we can turn it back on via this.
Um, excuse me if i missed it somewhere. But this looks like an excellent vacuum for water on the road. Or small puddles for that matter. Unless you live in the desert i think this wouldn't be advisable to do.
So guys with the roush+h-pipe, does that reduce the amount of rasp? I have the roush+xpipe and i love it trust me, but i wouldnt mind alittle less rasp at higher RPM's.
With the quality of the cooling units they put in the seats, i think they were just an after thought "hey, why dont we put cooled seats in?". Im not sure how other cars do their cooled seats. They may tap right into the main AC system. These seats are stand-alone systems.
So anyone have a 3d printer willing to render up a intake tube we could maybe glue to the assembly? Im thinking a tube that tries to get air from the perforated leather back instead of a long tube going under the seat. I found my rigged up setup doesnt work because i think the fan isnt powerful...
This, complete bullshit. I passed on the recaro's because i thought how nice it would be to have cooled seats in the summer where i drive my car the most. Now i have seats HEATING my back in the summer. :censored:
Yeah i found it today and bought some of that foam insulation you use to insulate AC pipes from your home air conditioner. They come cut down the center with sticky tape to seal both ends. What i did was use this as a duct and taped it to the vent on the blower.
I didnt notice it getting hot...
How do you get to this part? Is it the upper seat back? This annoys the shit out of me the seat back heats up when i want cooled seats. Ill rig something up till ford issues a tsb and i can remove it before bringing it in.
Hood gap issue from factory. I fixed it myself after i found out the hood stops were too high. Screwed them down two turns each and its good now. This was taken 2 days after i bought it.
