  1. Performance Pack Brake Pads

Apologies if there is already a topic on this. I did a basic search and nothing came up. Has anyone found a good alternative to OEM brake pads for the PP? Mine are nowhere near worn yet but the high levels of dust make them very squeaky. They'll stay quiet for a few days after a wash but...
  2. Post your MPG's

Almost 4k miles, lifetime average 14.5 Vast majority city miles.
  3. What to buy?

Well, there's the problem haha. If a base gt350 w no options was sold for sticker I'd probably trade in my GTPP next year.
  4. Pzeros and Prayers In The Snow/Headlights At night

I just put all-season Generals on for the winter. I think I get better traction than I did with the P zeros. I'll be driving up from Philly to Vermont for new years, so things could get interesting. Somewhat related... there's no tow hook on these things, but is there a spot on the car that...
  5. Did the looks grow on you or was it love at first sight?

When they first revealed the car, I liked it, better than the 14s but not by much. I wasn't crazy about it. When I first saw one in person, love at first sight.
  6. For the MT owners: how do you downshift?

I rev match, but if I'm coming to a stop I just go straight into neutral.
  7. So close, yet so far

It's never really a "smart" decision to buy an expensive car. I'm 25 years old, 2 years out of college, have a job in my field and saved a ton of money. Even in my situation, it wasn't a "smart" decision to buy a new GT. But I did it. Sometimes it is just about enjoying yourself. Having a ton of...
  8. Not enough power?

Launch control uses traction control, FYI.
  9. So close, yet so far

Yeah Greg, get ready for "grown up land" where you can get yourself worked up by misreading a forum post
  10. Got it!

Welcome to the Race Red club
  11. So close, yet so far

Yeah fed spec auto. It was fast enough for me at the time haha. I don't think I have any pics. I wrecked it back in like 09 unfortunately. It was my first and last silver car haha.
  12. So close, yet so far

Sounds like you have Liberty Mutual. Get quotes from Progressive or State Farm. Haha I had a 2000 Eclipse GT in high school. I'm 25 and paying $150 now. Damn insurance is low in Idaho.
  13. Whats the coolest feature you didn't know your car had?

I tried it again today and it worked. I guess I wasn't holding it down long enough before. Nice feature to have but really, I still prefer to just keep the key in my pocket and not have to take it out at all so I don't think I'll be using it too often.
  14. S550 is also a very comfy highway cruiser

Agreed. I just took my first "extended" trip this weekend. Only about an hour and a half to go down the shore, but it was a nice change of pace from my daily city driving. On the PP with Recaros, so she's as stiff as can be, but I didn't feel an ounce of discomfort the entire ride.
  15. 87 Octane

Use as much of the 87 as you can before filling up if you want to avoid mixing. It's not "bad" gas.
  16. 87 Octane

The engine will accept it, but you'll have a slight dip in horsepower. The manual also says "To provide improved performance, we recommend premium fuel"
  17. Gas prices double overnight...

Possibly start putting 87 in it, otherwise nothing else changes.
  18. Whats the coolest feature you didn't know your car had?

The manual qualifies (if equipped) next to the feature. It also says It can be turned on/off in the information display, so I'll see if I can find it there.
  19. Whats the coolest feature you didn't know your car had?

Putting the windows down with the key fob: I'm assuming this is a premium-only feature? I tried it on my base GT to no avail.
  20. Break in Period

I've just been driving normally. Pushing it here and there but not giving full throttle. 450 miles left......
