  1. Dilemma - Trade 2007 GT500 for 2019 Bullitt?

I haven't been back to the track since 2011. It was a blast, but the GT500 is just not a great road course car. Sure, the straights are super fun, and punching out of the turns is addictive, but it's just too nose-heavy and ponderous to handle well in the corners. I'm very tempted to pick up...
  2. Dilemma - Trade 2007 GT500 for 2019 Bullitt?

I took a 100-mile social-distancing cruise yesterday to get reacquainted with her, and definitely confirmed my decision to keep her for now. Oodles of low-end torque and that blower whine will keep me happy for at least another three years. :)

Oops! Fixed permissions...I think. Switched to Members Only.
  4. Dilemma - Trade 2007 GT500 for 2019 Bullitt?

Some minor mods - KR short throw shifter and exhaust, FRPP Handling Pack, FRPP CAI and tune, so it's about 540hp/510lb-ft. Perfectly driveable...and yeah, that low-RPM punch is so addicting! The only car that could come close is the new GT500, and I'm not spending that kind of cash.
  5. Dilemma - Trade 2007 GT500 for 2019 Bullitt?

So I slept on it, talked to my Ford tech at my local dealer, and (of course) my wife...and I think I'm going to keep the GT500 for now. 1. My tech confirmed that parts are still plentiful and will be for the foreseeable future, so that's a relief. 2. It's still under ESP warranty until...

  7. Dilemma - Trade 2007 GT500 for 2019 Bullitt?

I realize this is the very definition of a First World Problem, but it's been eating at me for a few days now. My local Ford dealer has two leftover 2019 Bullitts in stock (well, three, but one is black, so...no), with about $5K off sticker. Now with the 0% for 84 months, plus payment...
  8. Anybody Buying The Extended Warranty For Their GT350?

The two go-to ford dealers for fantastic ESP prices online are Anderson & Koch (http://andersonandkoch-ford-warranty.com/) and Flood Ford (https://www.floodfordesp.com). No other dealer, in-person or online, has come close. I went with Anderson & Koch for my '07 GT500, and they offered another...
  9. Comparing to 2007 GT500

If I didn't currently have my GT500, I'd be chomping at the bit to get a pony in my stable ASAP. I know my '07 isn't the best performer, and is rather dated by quite a few standards, but damn if it isn't still fun - I get an ear-splitting grin every time I fire her up, and every time I stomp...
  10. Comparing to 2007 GT500

So now that the horsepower/torque figures are released, we're a little closer to understanding how well this beast will perform. I know the independent rear suspension, plus the MagneRide shocks, will completely transform the ride handling on normal roads, and that's the biggest weakness of my...
