  3. 2018 GT low rpm engine rattle, cylinder damage pics, Ford buyback process

I have worked with the shop foreman working on my car for many years. One of the most honest hard working individuals I have ever met. That being said, I decided to move on when I found a reasonable deal on a GT350. Hopefully I will not have issues with it as it is an amazing car.
  4. 2018 GT low rpm engine rattle, cylinder damage pics, Ford buyback process

Update on my trip to the dealership. Driveshaft imbalance was resolved. The rattle issue was not. Two seperate cylinder deactivation test were run and made no difference in the rattle. Basically it's drive it and wait to see if there is a TSB or further information on the rattle...

  6. 2018 GT low rpm engine rattle, cylinder damage pics, Ford buyback process

Had tires balanced and still getting the 63-72 vibration. (Loudest 65-70) I am guessing it is the drive shaft. I will make an appointment next week to look at it. Don’t want to drive it in sport+ mode because it rattles a lot so I drive in normal mode which rattles less. Truly disappointing.
  7. 2018 GT low rpm engine rattle, cylinder damage pics, Ford buyback process

Not really sure what to do at this point. Maybe wait and see if more information comes out. Have an imbalance at 65-70 tires or possibly drive shaft. Otherwise car is quite fun. Planned to make it a project car but now it’s not a good idea to change anything. Rather bummed about it.

I have it also a10 - the low rpm rattle Not in neutral 2200 2500 rpm Lessens when warm but still noticeable Much more noticeable in sport+ vs normal mode Changed my oil at Ford at 1200 miles. Drove about 100 miles and found oil wasn’t registering on the stick. They had only put 8 quarts in...

  10. Seatbelts

Just a warning about the seat belts I have a GT PP with the premium interior The seat belts do not retract well on either side My drivers side belt got caught sideways between the door panel and the plastic seat housing putting a nice size dent in the door panel Not a huge issue...
  11. Shifter Buzz

The reverse ring/collar on my shifter buzzes a lot from transmission vibration mainly in the 1st 3 or 4 gears. I know you can replace the knob, but that would not help this issue. Is it possible to put some kind of rubber sleeve or o-ring to quieten it? Must not be a wide spread issue as...
  12. Waving

It the old days Mustang owners would give each other a thumbs up But times have changed and there is a lot more traffic distraction I gave and got a thumbs up from a GT-R Sunday Was a very nice looking one :)
  13. Anyone Else with an Oil Leak on a New GT Premium

Sorry to hear that about you transmission. Hopefully it will get resolved quickly. I will probably go by my dealership Friday - provided I can keep that day off and ask the service manager to put it on a rack and see if he can spot the troubles. At times like these I wish I had a rack...
  14. Anyone Else with an Oil Leak on a New GT Premium
