In my case putting the window down doesn't change anything other than amplify the volume by bringing the sound into the cabin

I did, and for whatever reason I feel like the wind whistle got a little more obnoxious? not 100% sure though.

Exactly. And it's annoying as hell, especially if I'm driving in the opposite direction of the wind.

Thank you for looking into this. I actually kinda like the quad 3 inch tips now, so I'm thinking about doing exactly what he did. I just gotta make sure that I get the same exact tips cause they look amazing (preferably in black).
