Is there a heritage R still for sale at any dealer? All I can find is a private owner trying to flip for a 25K adm. I am willing to pay a more reasonable adm.
I called th em last night. I was told the vehicle was available and they would call me in the morning with the price. I will be interested to see if they call back and still say it is available.
Congrats on the purchase of your new 18. I also had a 2011 GT500 and recently got rid of it and picked up a new replacement. Newer is better.
I also don't miss the manual. Only difference my new pickup wasn't a new GT.
Depending on where the dealership is located, i would consider contacting the local newspaper who usually has a consumer advocate column. If they are jerking you around, once that hits the paper they will change their position.
The porsche and Shelby will likely stir some discussion amongst co-workers but nothing over the top.
There are some brands that would be problematic. If one drove a Ferrari or Lambo to work for example.
I live in Ankeny. The sales rep indicated it was coming in next week. I have a GT500 now and asked about an R probably 3-4 months ago and was told it was sold for a 25K ADM.
They called today and asked me if I wanted it. I want a white R.
The sales rep name was Casey Westra.
Dealer called and offered me a 350R tonight. I believe the original buyer backed out.
I declined due to the color (Avalanche Gray) and the ADM 15k.
If you are interested send me a PM and I will share the dealer contact info.
Price was 92k.
If I was a dealer, I would only sell to locals especially at MSRP. They make their money on service. Why let that future revenue stream walk away when they can easily sell it locally.
Now this guy took it to an extreme.
why would you risk a policy riddled with stipulations to save $500-600 a year?
What happens when they claim your policy doesn't cover this incident? Who do you think has deeper pockets and a legal team that can make sure you can't afford to litigate against them.
Just my opinion. Good...

Sounds like the $$$ might be a stretch for you. Nothing worse than debt hanging over your head. The best cars are those that you can easily afford and drive them like you stole it.
I know people that get so wrapped up in the fear of depreciation that they never drive their car. They...
KMiles1 or THX REM would be my choice.
I suspect some on this forum have never heard of Ken Miles or Phil Remington. They are the two that made Shelby a legend.
