Interested in finding this out as well. I think our first goal will probably be to find out the code (what family) of the engine. When we find that we can cross reference that code with Madza's and find additional info about it like where it's build and what nuances separate the two motors...

Fftec, the rods and piston combo look great! One question though; since you had the motor out, why not upgrade the sleeves? Based on your experience and observation, what do you think the stock ones will handle?
