The power to weight is also closer than I thought, and actually slightly in favor of the Scat Pack.

What I don't understand is how the Scat Pack pulls a better quarter mile time than the GT, when it has a worse power to weight ratio? That was with the automatic scat pack though, maybe launch control and their fancy transmission save a few tenths?
I didn't realize before yesterday that you could get the ecoboost with the PP and Auto, but it still seems to be true that you cannot get the PP with the GT auto. Try building out a car at ford.com and you will see what I mean. There have been a few other post on this forum that agree, and say...
I hadn't really considered the Ecoboost because it would need heavy mods (turbo swap and supporting mods) to get up to GT power levels. I'm not all that interested in modding, I prefer factory reliability.
