A friend says he's found an R for $2k over. I'll post here if it happened. Out of town deal, no favors involved.
My M2 would go to Carmax if I could get that deal. :D
Why is that? I've imported several vehicles from Canada, is the GT350R somehow different? Will Ford not (or cannot) issue the requisite letter verifying that the car meets USA DOT and EPA standards?
This is not just a hypothetical issue for me as I live and work minutes from the Ontario...
A car forum is not a good place to seek legal advice.
The laws regarding returns of deposits vary state to state, and probably country to county as well.
And the purchase contract may, or may not, govern whether you'd get a deposit back.
Generally though, if a dealer cannot get the car...
This.
And two more important issues. First, the warranty is defined by what is written in the warranty manual. Second, the Moss-Magnussen Act ultimately governs how a manufacturer must administer a warranty and puts the burden on the manufacturer to prove that a component failure was due to...
Am I in a coma or has there been a report published yet?
So many cars are out on the street that I figured some Mag or website must have tested one. I guess the article could be embargoed, but until when?
Anyone? Anyone? Buehler?
Meh, I remember doing hundreds of fuel tank recalls on Pintos to keep them from exploding. Others were not so lucky.
Also, the first gen Taurus may have offed a few too.
And don't get me started on what kind of person Henry Ford was.
Sorry.
:D
Not everyone will feel that way tho. There are many who must have a GT350.
But I'm not one of them. M2, M4, TTS, RS3, CLA45 AMG, Cayman S/GTS, etc., etc. All are in my wheelhouse along with the GT350. ADM would kill the deal for me on a GT350, or anything else for that matter.
We live...
If I'm in the market for a GT350 I'd like to know what others are paying, wouldn't you?
If everyone is paying an ADM I'll wait. If folks are getting MSRP or less I'll buy one.
I'm not sure what the problem is. You will be buying one of the most awesome American sports cars ever made yet the color of the stripes is causing you extreme concern.
No offense intended.
I fear that dealers will set high ADMs on these 135 cars, which will fuel ADMs for the 2016 production cars.
But otherwise you are correct. 137 cars are not very relevant to almost all of us.
Edit: Any word on verified prices for the 2015s?
Good catch. But it's prob the 27th version of the GT350 spoiler that we've seen, so I'll await the finalized version from Ford before getting my panties all twisted up my butt crack. (That's not aimed at you, btw.)
Every state is different, but as a general rule you are probably correct.
The key is setting a price that both parties agree upon. That price does not have to be precise, but the parties have to agree on what will establish the price.
So. . . If the dealer agrees to sell at MSRP, and...
I've been a car salesman, a service manager, a service advisor and a couple other things as well.
I've seen it happen. I've been the recipient of a least one such deal. I know it happens. It's reported in the media.
You're both wrong. Sorry, but I'm glad I could help educate each of you. :D
