    Yes, technically, their insurance would cover it. Except, if I am indeed negligent, then I can also be held liable for their deductible, which is the issue at hand. Ultimately, I want to make the dealership whole, while at the same time not getting ripped off by inflated parts pricing.

    I very rarely drive cars other than my own, and I perform almost all maintenance and repairs on my own for the cost of parts. Thanks Ford for making an exceptionally robust and easy to fix car!

    Agreed. As unfortunate as the situation is, and as much as I want to save as much money as possible, I don't want to ruin someone else's Mustang any worse than I already have by doing something like that. For what it's worth, the car did have 40 miles on it already.

    Sadly, if it were a properly spec'd GT, I probably would have in a heartbeat. I completely understand... I think I would have had a heart attack if a tech had done so to my own brand new car. Also why I'm not pushing them hard to refinish the rim, since it certainly wouldn't get it back to OEM.
