To me it is really a wellfare move by Ford...How can you make you product look cheep like that???Wrong dash no problem... I lost respect a bit here. With all the work done to the engine with spray bore walls , DI, etc... You wouldnt counght Porsche doing something like that. More respect toward...
Hi guys,
Having interest in the 2018 mustang gt perfomance pack 300a i began looking at cars in autotrader.ca and others and was surprised by the fact that our canadian 300a cars seems to be limited to 7000rpm instead of 7400 rpm like the us cars (our cars with the digital screens go...
Not only the best sounding exhaust but it is the only good sounding aftermarket exhaust so far. All the others make it drone and sound like a 17 years old autoshop muffler welded for 20$ to make noise.
So if we want the most power we get the stage 2 right? And while at it we get stage 3 with the 60$ thermostat???That is the 427 wtq tune? Do you have a tune for someone running a test pipe? What kind of difference does it make?
It's not bashing but i can't beleive that people that build exhaust systems for a living can be so short on judgement as to think this is the sound someone with 1000$ in their pockets for an exhaust is looking for.
That is actually a very good, clean sounding exhaust for a 4 cylinder car...
Not abarth ridiculous burping, farting and also not MBRP overall ridiculous noise...i like it.
Nobody asked for a cylinder to sound like a V8...That would be dumb and impossible... But dont make an exhaust system that only adds raspiness to increase volume...
The Ford racing (borla) axle back might sound good by themselves...but in my opinion not with a cat and resonator delete...
A mustang that sound like a droany civic lx with a fart can...sounds cheap.
However with your cat and resonator delete the car sounds excellent....
Matter of taste.
As for the stock dyno numbers...they are no good and not because Livernois dyno is a low baller...we know it reads about average with the Fiesta St runs etc...
Mishimoto just proved switching from 87 to 93 on a stock tune makes a 50whp difference and 50wtq in the top end...
For less then a grand you will probably have 350whp and close to 450wtq (a tuner and a catless downpipe) in less then a couple of months.
Thats value.
For me the real fun is to have 450wtq in a streetcar at 3000rpm...make stop and go fun in city driving...Lagal speed street fun. And have...
I don't know where you take you gains but your estimated numbers are rubbish at best.
1- The part of the exhaust that gains power in the exhaust of a turbo car is usually a cat delete. Catback sometimes if the piping is too small but mostly for weight and sound purpose.
2-Where did you see the...
JJ, which downpipe produced these numbers? The one that deletes the resonator or the basic one that connect to the factory midpipe?
Would be nice to have dyno numbers for both alternatives. I suspect the one that deletes the resonator to have better gains considering the bigger diameter...
