Wengerd is the man, he essentially gave me S+ for shifter S because I don't have the drive modes. So I know exactly what you mean. The pedal mapping in Sport/Track is way more responsive.
Yea that's reason enough to consider even a 93 tune for the mach 1 then, unless you're going to always drive with shifter in S I guess. That would depend on the characteristics of Normal/S though. But the way Wengerd has Normal/D is perfect for everyday driving.
Does the stock mach 1 tune skip shift in Normal drive mode, shifter in "D"?
I recently loaded up a tune with the stock GT shift schedule for Normal in D and it's horrible lol.
I just converted over to @Wengerd Performance and I wish I had done so sooner. His A10 tuning is phenomenal for drivability, absolutely no lurching or surging. Performance wise, he's not only got me running the same 60-130s but with over 1500ft extra DA (so when the DA drops I'm expecting to set...
Also keep in mind tire diameter as well. I was running into traction problems on my whipple set up, mostly due to not wanting to run an R Compound. I was on 325/30/19, and opted for 315/35/20, which is a 2" difference in height. I can almost hook 2nd gear on the taller tires where I could only...
I'm grateful for the advice on how to proceed going forward and actions to take in escalating order should I run into issues in the future.
I think you make sense. I could take action now to beef up the 10R80, but it's already taken abuse in it's current state, and currently seems to be back to...
Today when we changed it? Old fluid was factory from when I got the car in 2019.
I can ask the shop, but the receipt says Ford Motorcraft Mercon ULV
PS after testing part throttle and around town under all conditions, I grew a pair and did a 60-130.
Every shift was smooth, quick, precise...
Symptoms started after a WOT pull where I had let off the gas right at redline before the car would have shifted. The car hung in the upper 7K revs for a few seconds before the tranny shifted
I noticed a real bad flare on 4-5 as if the car was in neutral.
Then I threw codes P0771 and P2704...
I've noticed since the weather got nice, the amount of idiot drivers has skyrocketed here. I honestly don't even want to drive now. It's not fun worrying about all the idiots around me, and too much traffic to have fun anyway lol.
Well, I think the point they were making to me recently is that they realize *now* they don't want to push the DW400 pump that hard. But, last year when I got originally tuned by them, even then I was capped at 86% for fpump_dc and don't recall them mentioning concerns about the DW400 being...
It's hard to say!
1. Tune #1: Local shop's dyno tune. Handled DW400 without a BAP no problem. Made 686whp on a DynoJet STD. No octane booster
2. Tune #2: Lund's tune. Fuel pressure dropped dangerously low without the BAP. With a BAP and octane booster, made about 680whp on a Mustang Dyno STD...
Well the DW400 is what comes with the Whipple Stage 2 so the pump in general would be fine unless Whipple made a bad call there.
And right, I don't know why Lund's tune would not run without boosting the pump, as the Whipple calibration ran the DW400 just fine.
So there's the caveat I put...
Their tunes come with a 6 month support window and they (especially Alex lol) have been very helpful imo. I've pestered Alex quite a lot LOL and he's put up with me lol. But I can confirm he actually goes into my datalogs as he's sent screenshots of observations he's made.
Also when I first...
