  1. Oil Consumption

Daily driver, 8K miles, no track, I added 1/2 quart at about 7.5K miles. It didn't burn much before the first oil change at 4.5K miles, so I didn't add any.
  2. Daily Drive R

I think it depends on the type of daily driving that you do, and where. If it’s mostly around town driving in a suburban area with decent roads, then likely there wouldn’t be an issue as long as you’re ok with the firm ride and mindful of the low splitter. Replacing worn OE Cup tires with SS’s...
  3. Is it possible to add Color Changing Ambient "package" to the 350?

Hmm, no stenciling suggestions at the moment, but I'll keep it in mind. I do like the GT350's stripes which feature white pinstripes along its main black stripes (plus other available combinations). Maybe adding pinstripes is something to consider. If you don't like a high contrasting color...
  4. Is it possible to add Color Changing Ambient "package" to the 350?

Sounds reasonable for the amount of work involved. Should look great. It may end up being cheaper than the factory option. IIRC, the Viper racing stripes were about $3k to $5k depending on the generation/year.
  5. Is it possible to add Color Changing Ambient "package" to the 350?

I wonder how much the painted stripes will be. They were quite an expensive option on the Viper, I believe.
  6. SmokingTire Bullitt Review

I understand his point of view, but I was still a bit surprised that he took that old-news position regarding the movie and its star. Considering how many Mustang sales the two of them probably influenced over the years, that makes Bullitt a permanent part of Ford’s history. That said, I felt...
  7. What color are your tailpipes?

They look good. Are the tips difficult to remove?
  8. Seriously...Odd Piston Slap Starting.

My car also has what most here have described over the last couple of years as piston slap. It hasn’t gotten worse or changed significantly. If you believe this is the issue, a trip to the dealer is likely a waste of time. Plus, there’s a good chance they’ll say that they can’t duplicate the...
  9. GT350 Clutch Pedal Vibration

I understand where you're coming from, and I had the same thought about it triggering a check engine light (which I don't have), but the clutch pedal vibration (or otherwise described as an odd feedback) is noticeably reduced. Also, throttle response when re-engaging the clutch between gears is...
  10. Loose throttle body hose clamp

If you bothered reading iamevan’s thread I mentioned where I explained why the clutch pedal vibration improved, your sarcastic comment would not have been necessary.
  11. Loose throttle body hose clamp

I recently checked the hose clamp connecting the intake hose to the throttle body and the bolt was very loose. After tightening, I've noticed that the clutch pedal vibration I have been experiencing (to varying degree) since I got the car has improved noticeably. It may be worth checking...
  12. GT350 Clutch Pedal Vibration

I created the thread a while back about my car's clutch pedal vibration. Mine started early at about 200 miles on the odometer, but it did seem to improve over time (albeit, with varying consistency...some days good, others not). I believe I've recently found the cause, and it's a simple fix...
  13. Case study: Damage Caused By Lack of Caliper Clearance

One of my wheel barrels has damage from a trapped stone. The barrel-to-caliper clearance is indeed a bit too tight. This makes proper wheel cleaning a pita, too.
  14. Recaros vs Non-Recaros

My car is a dd and I have the Recaro seats. As already mentioned, ingress/egress does require more effort (and I’m not big), but it’s worth it. The bolsters are very supportive and overall comfort is good for a track-style sport seat. Plus, they look great. That said, larger folks probably won’t...
  15. GT 350 owners with active exhaust

A middle setting would be cool.
  16. OEM air filter

Is there any intake sound difference when running the synthetic filter? TIA
  17. Cracked header opinions please.

I understand that and I agree with you. I stated that I didn't think the mods had anything to do with it. My point is that Ford could claim just about anything since the O.E. exhaust system was modified. I used resonance as an example because of the vibration associated with it. The issue is...
  18. Cracked header opinions please.

Unfortunately, dealers and manufactures look for any reason to deny a warranty claim, even if the issue is almost certainly unrelated to a modification. Still, the car's exhaust is modified (however minor a mod and similar to O.E. that it is) and part of the system has failed. IMO, they should...
