  1. Cobb OTS stage 1 harsh shifts/shift points

After driving around today with the OTS Cobb tune it will shift from 1st to 2nd as high as 3k rpm!!! That's just ridiculous and it feels so jerky and crunchy. I've read so many good things about Cobb but i have been fairly unimpressed with the lack of smoothness. I want to get tuned by Adam but...
  2. Cobb accesport v3 help!!

Something certainly sounds off! Even with the OTS tune you should still be able to tell a difference over the stock tune. I couldn't really tell a difference until i matted the pedal to the floor. The car should pull noticeably harder and not fall on it's face after 5k rpm. For me it was a night...
  3. Cobb OTS stage 1 harsh shifts/shift points

I noticed this too and it is very annoying. I just recently got it tuned. I hope the high rpm shifting from 1 to 2 isn't harmful to the car. I just use the paddle shifters to shift early. Do you guys know if you are supposed to use the shifters in regular drive mode? I know you are required to...
  4. anyone install a mishi oil separator on their ecoboost?

Wow! I was thinking about buying one and installing it myself but after reading all this i might send it to Cobb Plano if the price is right. just goes to show that the claimed install times are always bs! Mishi said it can be done in under 30 minutes...
  5. How to use paddles with Cobb tune?

I have a base 2015 automatic ecoboost and just got the Cobb stage 1 93 octane tune. I noticed that it now shows what gear i am in even when in regular drive mode not S mode. Do i now need to use the paddle shifters even if i'm just in Drive? It used to be required for sport mode only.
  6. Any tuning precautions?

Exactly! I'm really in the same boat as you. I have 13 mile round commute though. But i feel for the casual daily drivers who just drive "spiritedly" on occasion, the stock IC will be fine. Yes heat soak will occur but i normally only do one pull a day. An intercooler is certainly an upgrade I...
  7. Fuel economy on tuned cars

Get a AccesPort v3, put er in mode 5 (economy mode) for daily use then when you need the performance hop back into to performance mode. It can be done on the fly. I have the stock IC and can get 33 mpg highway. Use cruise control, it's your friend.
  8. best sounding ecoboost exhaust

How raspy is it with the catless dp? I have a resonator delete and flowmaster outlaws and its pretty loud. Straight through systems generaly have more rasp to them. It would be cool if you post a video. I'll post mine here when i get done editing it.
  9. Question to owners of COBB Stage 1

JLT Cold air intake, resonator delete and flowmaster mufflers. Other than that 100% stock.
  10. Intercooler (and spark plug) question

Could anyone please share a guide for me on how to replace the plugs? I have ordered the pregapped ones from Adam alas i'm a noob and don't know how to install them.
  11. Any tuning precautions?

Same in Texas brother. It gets hot af during the summer. I Know for a fact I can't be doing pulls on the stock IC in 100 degree weather!
  12. Any tuning precautions?

Yes! Great to see local EB dudes in Dallas.
  13. Question to owners of COBB Stage 1

I just bought my ap3 yesterday. Put about 40 miles on it. I wasn't really buying into the whole "it feels like a new car thing" but i was wrong. It pulls SO much harder. I like the the tune because it's very conservative and it's better than factory in every way.
  14. best sounding ecoboost exhaust

Flow master owultaws ($400) and a resonator delete ($80). Inexpensive catback for $480. Sounds great too.
  15. COBB V3 stage 2 question.

I have a JLT CAI and a catback and an auto. Is there any risk of just running off the shelf tunes with such simple modifications? I will go tune plus eventually but the funds are tight right now :D
  16. Any tuning precautions?

Before i tune my car is there ANYTHING i need to do maintenance wise? Things like an oil change, spark plugs, catch can. It will be the first time i have tuned my car and i don't want anything to go wrong. I am a bit nervous.
